This anime was fantastic. The story line and plot was really good. The animation was also amazing. While many people think that Shiba Tatsuya is over powering I don't really think that's the case. He looks to be strong and really smart among the students of First High but when it comes to members of the ten master clans he's not all that strong. People like Jumonji, Saegusa, and even Erika seemed to be on par in terms of strength with Shiba. None of them really showed their true power in the first season for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei but you can definitely tell that they have their own strong abilities and trump cards. Shiba has his own weaknesses and strengths as well. While he's an genius with magical engineering, his practical magic side is terrible even in as a course 2. The only real over powering strength would be his healing magic "Regrowth" but that's the only over powering ability he has and from what I watched and heard, it seems that Shiba's true enemy is his aunt, the head of the Yotsuba clan and she most likely has the means the suppress his Regrowth Magic since she was the one who genetically modified him.
