In both there is a power called Shinigami Eyes, which in DN allows you to see both the name and life span of anyone, and in ZL makes you see a ring on people’s neck: the darker it becomes, the nearer that person’s death gets. <br/> Both can be creepy at times, and both have Shinigami, death, supernatural, mystery, blood, a dark aura, and lots of bishounen. <br/> Both are really good, worth-reading manga, and both both are (wrongly) considered shounen.

Both are focused around the concept of death especially shinigami like beings and being able to control it for whatever purpose that may be depending on the user of the power.
