With a lot of action and detailed story, One Piece and Kingdom has many similarities with each other. Both series follows a main male protagonist who has a set goal in mind. There is a lot of characterization present in their story. Additionally, relationship building and background stories are a pivotal point to both series' success. Expect plenty of plot twists, fighting tactics, and a world with vast capabilities.

I'm surprised no one else has made this recommendation. Kingdom and One piece is similar in that the main characters are really powerful BUT we join their story to see them grow and become stronger, and both main characters set out to be high ranking person one being king of pirates and the other being a great general. And both manga's have really strong side characters that give a real impact in the story and to the reader, showing that someone who initially looks strange; then becomes such a memorable character. Although the only big difference is that One Piece is fantasy and Kingdom is   read more

Although having a completely different setting and scale, Kingdom and One Piece have also a lot of similarities: -To start off, both the main characters aim is to achieve the utmost position on their field of expertise, that is, in one case, becoming the king of the pirates, and, in the other, great general of the heavens - Secondly, protagonists of both series are accompanied by trustworthy subordinates and supporters, earned troughout their quest, that learned to hold imeasurable respect for them - Finally, both series can be very humorous and dramatic, with an art style that feels, at least to me, very similar in its originality

Both of them are absolute masterpieces in the field of manga. Both of them have battles of such epic proportions that almost nothing can top them. Both of them have unique art styles that are amazing. In both series, the main characters want to achieve the greatest accomplishment and status they can in their journey, they want to become one of greatest pirates/generals that have ever existed. Both have main characters that have an incredibly strong determination, their will power will never go out and they have the undeniable power to be leaders. They are the pillars to the characters that put their trust into them. Both of them have   read more

The heroes of both manga share the same personalities: strong, reckless and caring for their comrades. They also share a similar dream of one day becoming the greatest in their own right. One Piece progresses by having tons of adventures, while Kingdom progresses by having tons of warfare. Both manga also focuses on many subplots as you read further, which eventually leads to revealing mysteries and conspiracies.

At 457 chapters, Kingdom is only a bit over 50% over. Honestly, if you're looking for a story that's on the same scale as One Piece, Kingdom fits the bill more then Naruto or Bleach. And if you're thinking, "Oh,so it's super dragged out". NOPE. Kingdom is a war manga, a historical, real one actually with fiction added in from the Author to turn it into a really compelling story that you wouldn't want to stop reading until you catch up to the newest chapters. Each chapter progress the battles and wars. If you like main characters have a huge end goal; and see them   read more

On the outside One Piece and Kingdom don't look anything alike but internally they're actually quite similar. To start the most similar thing about the two is their growth and what do I mean by that? Well both manga start with the protagonists at a young age ready for an adventure with a certain spirit to accomplish their own powerful goals. However with this their overpowering spirit comes a sense of great arrogance but they can certainly back it up with their amazing combat skills. Onward, in each manga both protagonists realise the unimaginable height of their dreams but they don't give up right there. Instead   read more

Both use long term world building to create a carefully crafted narrative building up characters and moments hundreds of chapters in advance, along with an emphasis on unique character personalities makes the two series similar in what makes them work
