Similar main love triangle - "Special" female lead that has lots of people attracted to her unique personality, a secondary female lead that is really talented and more down to earth but has her own issues and the male lead who is in love with the special female lead.
Both shows have a similar setting - a normal town, a group of friends, partially school setting. Also, the script writer is the same and both are the type to induce feels.
If you like Sakurasou no Pet Janojo, Ano Hana has a somewhat "similar" plot as in the supporting characters are trying to make the confused,yet lovable, main character happy. I really like both anime, both Menma and Mashiro have sweet and innocent sides.

Both are very interesting anime to watch. Focuses on friendship and romance. I'm sure these will bring tears to your eyes
- Both animes have a love triangle going on with the protagonist
- Both animes talk about friendship and teamwork
- Both animes have amazing soundtracks, opening and ending
- Both animes are set in highschool time (although Anohana have very little screen time inside the school)
- Both animes will have u burst into tears during the last episode... trust me :P
