I really can't say much, this anime just started, it's just it gives me the same feeling has Full Metal, the drama, the comedy, action, fighting scenes. Both the stories are so well structured(even tough Magi may start to defer from the manga) no loose ends, it's just like Full Metal but with a different story but with the same ambiance, the fact that it isn't uncensored is one of the good similarities. I know some of you might not share the same opinion, but the fact that I made this recommendation just demonstrates that for me at least they might be masterpieces worth watching.

Magi and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood follow young men in pursuit of a seemingly impossible goal. While Edward and Al are on a journey to find the Philosopher stone to gain back what they lost, Aladdin fights to protect the flow of fate and the balance of the world. Both are blessed with unimaginable talent and potential. Although they start out powerless, they grow through each battle and each new encounter; gaining new friends and enemies along the way. Both anime have similar themes and feel to them. The coming of age is a major theme in both as well as the importance of friendship. Though   read more

These shows are pretty similar. Both deal with complex moral issues while both protagonist inhabit a world which is slowly being corrupted. Even the art styles and the way characters are drawn are very similar. If you enjoyed either series you should watch the other.

Has two male protagonists who have a brotherly bond; Lots of action and adventure; Both protagonists have their own personal goals; Many more side characters; Presence of both good and so-called evil characters although the line between them is more blurred; Character and anime designs are much more elaborate and extravagant.

-Both Anime's take place in a non Japanese culture making it easier for some to watch and understand -Both involve characters with strong powers that many people across the society know of and practice -Both have many characters, and very strong supporting characters -Both involve government, and corruption storylines -Both also have the main characters working towards their own personal goals, whilst helping society toward its separate goal Overall Magi in my opinion may not be on the same level of presentation as FMAB is, but if you enjoyed the aspects listed above of FMAB then you will enjoy Magi, it is fun, interesting, and pretty easy to follow.

The main theme of these shows is what evil is capable of as they manipulate human's greed and lust for power.

Both short male protagonists. They go on adventures with a close friend, and focus around philosophy.
