This anime is similar to F/SN even in the desing of Saber(Kurumi) and Gilgamesh (Ida). They are about a magic war.
Similarities:
+ Mostly just that the premises sound similar
+ Magicians fight against each other, and the main character only recently got caught up in this world because of the female lead
Differences:
- The main characters have very different personalities
- Mahou Sensou isn't a battle royale-style war
