"You don't need to have blood relation with someone to be a family" is the theme both the shows run on. And if you liked the way 'Miss Kobayashi's dragon maid' presented it, you'll probably like Hinamatsuri too. Also as a bonus, the comedy is crazy good.

Hinamatsuri is another great drama comedy, revolving around a normal protagonist and their ability to deal with a superpowered friend that drops in on them.

Just like kobayashi, hinamatsuri is a crazy combination of slice of life and supernatural, focusing on cute girls, funny and emotional moments. Especially if you love kanna, i think it's a great anime for you because of Hina.

Both shows work wonders with expressive characters and strong visual comedy. They also share a core theme that humans (and dragons/alien psychic girls) need companionship. Both employ this theme excellently to elicit a genuine emotional response from the viewer. If you're looking for that element of the supernatural, but in the setting of a lighthearted and relaxing episodic series with a varied and likable cast, both have it in spades!

A group of (somewhat) normal people have their lives changed when a group of supernatural humans appear from nowhere, and they learn the blessings and hardships of reality together.

Two Slice of Lifes and yet I didn't expect to be writing this recommendation. - Both works depart from a similar premise, being stories involving beings who come from another world and settle down on earth, among humans, starting to live and live with a certain character. As a rule, these beings are much more powerful than humans. In the case of Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon, these are dragons, while Hinamatsuri accompanies Hina and other Espers. - Both Hinamatsuri and Maid Dragon, as Slice of Lifes, explore the daily lives of these particular characters and their maturation as they spend time with humans. In both series, beings from other world (with powers) start living with humans. These two series are focused on comedy with some slice of life and emotional moments.
