The main female character wants to be with a boy in her class. Both series have several love triangles, characters who have trouble confessing their feelings to each other and lots of lol comedy.
Both are set at school and have quite similar humor and character types. The protagonists have troubles with confessing their feelings and sometimes choose weird ways to achieve their aims. The female leads are both light-hearted and somewhat naive and have younger sisters who act more mature. You'll find even more in common if you watch both, however, neither series may be called a copycat. The atmosphere is also similar, despite the fact B-gata is more ecchi while School Rumpble is slightly more fantastic and weird.
this show is told the same way and has a lot of comedy romance. If you like the hole feeling you got from watching B gata h kei, you will surely like School rumble. it may seem silly at first but when you really get into it its great. I personally gave it a 10.......just like this one. you might think that its pretty high, but yeah I really love the feel they have to them.
