Since Gangsta. deals more of the seriousness of the underworld, Baccano! is the lighter version of that and yet it still retains its action sequences and intrigue in terms of its mysteriousness in certain things. However, there is more comic relief in Baccano! than Gangsta. Both also deal with heaviness of the characters' pasts as well as current predicaments.
The biggest difference would be that Baccano! has more characters that take center stage which makes it a little bit more complicated as it also has a wide interval of time that's involved.
All in call, Baccano! is a less serious version of Gangsta.
Mafia wars, guns, crime, and an interesting set of characters are some of the things these two awesome series share. With no lack of fighting and mystery to be had in either series, they are sure to keep you interested and wanting more.
In terms of style and setting both have a more harden mafia tone that goes into a more grim aspect of the business. A bit more of a fantastical side, with less realism but that doesn't take away from the characters pligs and internal struggles.

Gang wars are always nasty business, but add some superhumans, and things get even messier. Immortals and humans with inhuman powers certainly make things more difficult and complicated for all the characters involved. Good thing it's so much fun to watch.

Baccano! is a must-watch for those who liked Gangsta. It retains Gangsta's action while being set in the 1930's, however this time, it's the Italian Mafia.

If you like madness and chaotic world in baccano with pistols mafia bosses and gangs then you ll like gangsta. Personally I think baccano in better but gangsta is a really good one too. Give it a try.

Both anime take place in 20th Century America, both have to do with gangs and the like, and both have a little dabbing in the supernatural world, but Baccano! has vastly more magical happenings than Gangsta., which is far more realistic. Both have catchy soundtracks and interesting characters, and if you liked one, chances are you'll like the other.

Baccano! is set in 1930s Jersey USA, a popular scene for a condensed, westernised, violent yet comedic Hollywood film similar to Sherlock Holmes except 98% of the characters are somehow immortal. Whereas, in the anime series 'Gangsta' a duo called handymen live in a crime-stricken fiction city where performance enhancing drugs are used to keep the dwellers in check and the government remorseful. These share their similarities in the fact that they're very complex and action filled crime/action series; All the more reason to watch after you've completed Baccano!
