Now here me out before you go, "wtf! these two are nothing alike!" Well, you're not entirely wrong, but there are a lot of similarities between the two. If you're looking for a deep story line, you're in for a treat.
Similarities:
They both have awesome pacing (I am not counting the second season of Psycho Pass here).
There is no clear "antagonist" in both series. You might be able to argue on who the antagonist is, but really, it's far more abstract than that.
They question how society is run and why things are the way things are.
Both, unfortunately, front loads the setting.
Very character driven.
