-Both involve NEET and otaku, that shatter easily
-Both involve adjusting to the real world
-Both can be pretty silly, with char "too in to their own heads" so to speak
-Though NHK is darker and more gripping with reality, making for better bittersweet candy as opposed to Kuragehime's sweet yet not as much impact flavor

The main characters of both shows start out as more or less directionless nobodies. The people they meet help them get out more and have a better appreciation of life. Both shows have a good amount of humor, but some very poignant and emotional moments related to similar struggles of the protagonists' lives.

Both shows follow the lives of adult NEET otaku, with one focused on the male side of that subculture and the other focused on the female. Both feature a protagonist who meet a love interest who causes their life to drastically change and, in the end, leads them to better themself. NHK is definitely darker than Kuragehime but they carry the same themes and messages
