Both are about loners and existential crises. NHK is about running from reality, Yahari is about running from people. Or vice versa :) However, NHK is about a shut-in in his 20s and Yahari is about high-school life, thus the latter is more of the mainstream.

In both series, the main male protagonist is considered a loner with little to no friends as well as having a stoic outlook on life in general. However, one day he meets a strange girl and they form a rather peculiar relationship. NHK takes more place in a home environment while Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. takes more spaces at home. Thinking about meaning of life... both series are about this. Also there is a little romance and comedy. NHK is more mysterious, but Yahari is more complicated

While the settings are quite different, both anime are dark romantic comedy-dramas which star lazy, pessimistic protagonists (Satou/Hachiman) who have given up on society. In both cases, they meet a black-haired girl (Misaki/Yukino) who claim they want to help cure them of their cynical outlook and make them a better person. However, it later becomes apparent that the one trying to help the protagonist is just as messed up and in need of help as they are. In general, I find Hachiman and Satou to be very alike in a lot of ways. They're both aware that they have issues, but don't try to fix them   read more

Both the shows have loners as their main protagonists and both provide interesting social commentary on the trials an anti-social person must go through everyday. If you've watched and enjoyed one of these, I believe you'll find entertainment in the other.

Satou and Hachiman share extremely similar views on society and people and are both cynical. Each show revolves around improving their main characters and helping them with their issues, with Misaki helping Satou and the service club helping Hachiman.

The main characters are loner and has trouble to socialize with others while both heroines looks strong and reliable outside but actually have problem that they can't solve . For me , welcome to the NHK is the best show to recommend for Oregairu fans.

Both amazing shows, they're both about a person who has isolated themselves from society and put in a position to help their conditions get better.
