One victor - for the ultimate price, both series involves a scenario where the main character becomes a target for assassination. Luckily, they do manage to make friends with an unlikely alliance who has their own skills in protecting them. And although different in man ways, they bond throughout the series and learn about each others' dark pasts. Both series features a cast of diverse characters each with their own set of skills and personalities. Expect grim scenes and horrific sequences when it comes to attempts to kill off their targets.

Survival genres. We see them in almost every anime. Akuma no Riddle is similar to Mirai Nikki in the sense that in order to survive or win, you have to defeat your enemies. Not only that, both anime have a darker story to them and especially action scenes. Both anime have a person protecting another person. Just like a bodyguard protecting the hunted from the hunters. In Mirai Nikki: Yuno protecting Yukiteru In Akuma no Riddle: Tokaku protecting Haru However, the difference between Mirai Nikki & Akuma no Riddle is the characters. All of the cast members are female in Akuma no Riddle, while Mirai Nikki has both   read more

These anime are very similar, because both anime goes about a kind of 'survival game' when only one survives, but in Akuma no Riddle everyone is after one person and in Mirai Nikki everyone is after each other. And in both anime one person is protecting another person in the survival game. In Mirai Nikki: Yuno is protecting Yuki. In Akuma no Riddle : Tokaku is protecting Haru. But one difference is that in Akuma no Riddle ALL the people who participated the survival game are women, and in Mirai Nikki are there both man and women in the survival game.

In both anime one of the main things is the fact that one person is protecting a person they love in a deadly competition.

If you like the survival game plot, Akuma no Riddle will make you have that. The plot is very similar (one person is threatened by others, one of the 'killers' chose to protect them instead, all characters have a previous story and it's shown later why do they want/need to kill the main character. Akuma no Riddle has a bit of shoujo-ai in it, but nothing that would discourage you to watch it.

Both anime involve a group of people trying to kill each other (or in Akuma no Riddle's case, one person), and both have some comedy in them, but it being kept to a minimum in Mirai Nikki. And both anime also have romance, but the romance in Akuma no Riddle is only slight romance, and you most likely wouldn't notice if it wasn't there. And both anime also have one character being protected by another character who does all the work, but Character A is found out to be very important to the plot, even though they've done nothing.

a little gore and successive killing, also the character development and the art are similar, mirai nikki is more on the psychological side tough.

Akuma No Riddle haves good art, story and also intense fighting scenes which are unique. The Main character maybe be look kinda "lame" but actually she's a badass like Gasai Yuno.maybe few people dosent see those too similiar but they are.

This anime about 'kill or be killed' is actually only about eliminating one target but still has a similar feel. Each episode a character takes a stab at the target (literally) and we see some character exposition. The endings are really similar as well in a way. Akuma no Riddle is leagues away from the violence of Mirai Nikki but we still get pretty good fights and wacky/crazy characters out of it!

Both are about some people who have to kill themselves to win.

Both shows have te same kill or be killed concept. Although Akuma doesn't have the game feel it has some good fight scenes and interesting settings.

The love child of Mirai Nikki and Grisaia no Kajitsu. A killing game with an innocent bystander with a bodyguard? Mirai Nikki. Stoic, very competent assassin with a clearly dark past in a group in an isolated school setting with other people who clearly have issues? Grisaia no Kajitsu. Combine them both, add some yuri, change the sexes so that everyone is a girl, and you get this anime.

Both anime contain a story which involves a competition where you have to eliminate your opponents by killing and be the last one standing to win, with a prize to 'improve' lives of others and power. However, in both anime, two unlikely pairs join forces to survive the competition, facing complications in the process

Both anime revolve around a seemingly helpless character that is thrown into a brutal survival game. In both cases, they team up with one of the other participants and feelings start to develop. "Akuma no Riddle" only has 12 episodes, while "Mirai Nikki" is twice as long - but since both have nearly the same number of antagonists, their backstories and motives are much better explained in the latter. So if this lack of character depth was something you didn't like about "Akuma no Riddle", you should check out "Mirai Nikki". Even though both anime feature a lot of fights and bloody knives, "Mirai Nikki" is way   read more
