Mirai Nikki has supernatural elements while Btoom stays on real side.
Main characters are incredibly dumb but Btooom!'s MC at least doesn't care about ethics that much which makes him more interesting.
Both Anime focus around a game that the members are competing against to win a prize. The problem... both games involve killing other people in order to win. The main characters of both Anime doesn't want to kill people either, which in itself is another problem.

Both shows involve intense survival games. In Mirai Nikki, players in the survival game use diaries that can somewhat accurately predict the future to be the last player alive. In Btooom, players use bombs to ensure that they survive. Btooom has more psychological elements to it, but they can both be considered psychological horror.

Although i haven't seen past ep 2 of Btooom, it turning out to be a 'survival of the fitness' type of anime - like Mirai Nikki. The first similarity i saw between the two anime were that each candidate are given objects and have to learn to use them to survive. In Mirai Nikki is was a future diary (in the form of a mobile phone or a scroll), in Btooom they are given a type of bomb. Both anime involves playing a game of survival and whoever becomes the winner gets to survive. In the anime, many people's true nature were shown; their cruelty towards other people. The female lead falls in love with the male lead and assists him in surviving.
It's all about survival and games in both of these series.
In Mirai Nikki and Btooom!, the theme of survival horror is present and there are the "players" who fights for their lives. The main protagonist meets a female protagonist who both happens to be gamers in the series.
There is violence. There is blood. There is emotions. There is drama. Then, at times, there seems to be a little hope..
These two anime are similar because the characters are in constant life or death situations and it's all about surviving until the very end.

same thing here, but instead of them not being in a game they played, in mirai nikki the game starts by a being who got bored and wanted to see it so he can be intertained.
If you enjoy the idea of multiple characters fighting to the death with the aid of an inanimate object as your tool, whether it's a bomb or a cell phone. This is your anime to watch ^^

Both series are about a survival game forced on the main character.
While you use cellphones in Mirai Nikki which predicts the future there are radars in the participants' hands which locates the enemy.
Both anime are about a Battle Royale where random people are chosen to kill each other. This is either to become the next God (Mirai Nikki), or to simply stay alive. (Btooom!) Both anime are very well put together and are interesting from start to finish. In any case there will be a lot of deaths, lots of exciting moments and blood will be flowing, no matter which of these anime you choose.

Both anime revolve around the the characters playing a survival to the death game against others players resulting in a prize. The players were all pushed into the game under their will and the only way out was death. In Mirai Nikki, the players used a diary to help them that could tell about the future, and when the diary breaks they die. In Btooom, the players use different kinds of bombs and have a use radar to locate the characters They are both full of blood, killing, betrayal,companionship ,and romantic scenes.

Both survival based, very good story lines and enjoyable characters. Btooom! is a must see if you have enjoyed Mirai Nikki.
Though Btooom! has bombs instead of supernatural phones that predict the future, like Mirai Nikki, they both revolve around survival as a theme and are about ordinary(ish) people that have to kill each other as per the rules of a game that the main protagonists are forced into playing.
Both main characters are socially withdrawn, reluctant to kill, and they fall in love with the lead girl (although you'll see that Himiko's and Yuno's personalities and roles are quite different).
Both also feature an interesting cast of characters ranging from cunning to crazy.
If you enjoyed either series, you will enjoy the other.

Mirai Nikki, and Btooom! both are survival games, the contestants in must fight to the death. In Btooom they are given Bombs that are called BIM's, they are given different type's of BIM's and a scanner each. In Btooom! you have only a Limited amount of BIM's the only way to gain more is by killing a contestant your self and take their BIM's. Both are survival anime. There's also romance between the male and female protagonists who work together to win the game. People also lose sanity in both anime. Both anime are also have pretty cool and gory deaths.
Btooom! and Mirai Nikki (TV) have the same psychological feeling to them. They both have people turning on, betraying, and allying each other. They are very similar since both anime feature a survival "game". If you liked one, you would most likely like the other.
Both are about people trying to make it out alive in a survival game.
Both protagonists are socially withdrawn at first, but slowly develop self confidence and become more outspoken throughout the show.
They are the same except in this one all you need to live and get back home is you have to kill 7 people. This is based of a game where you have to use bombs there are tracker bombs, timers, fist contact, dark hole, trap, and smoke acid bombs. The bombs are like the diarys in this anime. Survival, trust, and competition, a death match game involving competitors to frag people to complete or escape the game. As the quote says when in this dangerous situation; 'It's every man for himself." Kill or be killed, that's the number 1 rule in both of these animes. But Btooom has less bloodbath scenes than mirai nikki. And i recommend to read chapter 51 of Btooom after watching the anime.
Both Anime focus around a game that the members are competing against to win a prize. The problem... both games involve killing other people in order to win. The main characters of both Anime doesn't want to kill people either, which in itself is another problem.

They're both romances at heart, with the two leads getting together.
They both have very unique and memorable characters.
And they're both pretty damn enjoyable.
Overall, Mirai Nikki has better plot twists, and Btooom! is a tad more realistic with respect to the psychological damage that comes with a death game, but if you liked Mirai Nikki, I'm positive Btooom! will keep you wanting more.
Both series' are blood spilling action genre, with bits of ecchi scenes in some episodes.

The main character in both, Btoom and Mirai Nikki, are stuck fighting against other humans. There's betrayal, violence, and a lot of murder in each. However, in Btoom they're stuck on an island whereas in Mirai Nikki the whole world is their playground to kill the other players.

Both Mirai Nikki and Btooom!, have the survival game aspect in them. Both also give the players in the death game, powers. In Mirai Nikki, Future Diaries, and in Btooom!, bombs. Btooom! is slightly better than Mirai Nikki, in the fact that it has a slightly more tolerable main character, and is more of a mature anime. Plus, it doesn't have as many Plot Holes.

In both animies the main character and a girl have to fight in these survival games! While Btooom is on a deserted island, Mirai Nikki take places in a city. Both the main characters at first are reluctant to kill people, but realize they are going to have to, to survive.

Btooom! is basically a survival/romance genre, a survival game, but with bombs, and there is romance that develops between the male and female lead characters. I found it really intresting, why don't you give it a try.

Another similarity is at the last episode of both shows they male and the female protagonists kiss each other. Now the things that aren't the same is Mirai Nikki uses cell phones as a guide to kill the other players but Btooom! Uses a gem to tell when an enemy is near by. It's all about the survival game where some random people are chosen to kill each other. Then, the main character will be paired with a female character as usual. Another same thing is both of them has the main character who doesn't care about his real life or I can say antipathy.
