Noob college student here trying to find room in JPN 101. Actually I didn't really want to take classes for it but I am having a hard time teaching myself (laziness).
I am not a long time anime watcher though I have seen older stuff sparsely. I would watch things that came on TV (Pokemon and the like). I only got serious about anime late 2007. Now I fight for hard drive space daily while clearing shelf space for manga.
I'm a sucker for romance stuff (obvious if you look at my list) but not to the shoujo level. My tastes are pretty much at the seinen level. Tsundere is my preferred moe.
My otaku-ism includes visual novels and video games (PC mostly). I am also a fan of voice actors (seiyuu). Chihara Minori and Kugimiya Rie would be my two favorites right now.
I also hate Hirano Aya
Ani-songs rule my iPod right along with rock music in general. Being new and all means my list of Japanese artists is thin. I have staples like KOTOKO or Mizuki Nana. Off the top of my head: iDOLM@STER songs (Iori being my fav of all), the brilliant green, Perfume, and Hatsune Miku (I really do like Miku). Of course I have thousands of songs but I don't know 2/5 of the artist.
You can find me browsing anime/otaku blogs, hanging out at Baka-Wolf, or watching things at nico nico douga.
I've heard good things about Zero no Tsukaima. I should probably watch it sometime. Right now I'm watching Strike Witches (lol), which apparently was created by the same guy.
Me too. I like Strawberry Panic so far, and I'd buy the Kanokon light novels if I could find them in any of the bookstores around here. And maybe Pita-Ten.
I do need to buy more manga. The last time I bought any manga was at least two months ago, although my sister is buying Vampire Knight as it's being published.
But I have been supporting licensed light novels. I've picked up Strawberry Panic, Shakugan no Shana, and Trinity Blood as I've seen them, and I'll get to reading them all eventually.
Well that's good new from the Nana-fandom's point of view!!! And mine! :D
But the Aya-tards will probably overrate her like crazy and see if one person says Aya sing's better than Nana, I will punch their Aya-tarded deaf face in!!!! >:( Because that will be the biggest load of **** ever said!!! T~T
Nana Mizuki is one of the best singers EVER!! And even from a non-biased opinion it's true, her voice is amazingly powerful. Aya's sounds like she has a clothes-peg on her nose when she sings. XD
It annoys me that 3 roles in popular anime get her to the top, when people, like Nana Mizuki, and Megumi Hayashibara, tried hundreds of roles and aren't even top ten!! :(
Plus they can sing!!
You hate Aya? That's great!! I find her okay-ish myself, but god is she overrated!! ¬_¬ Lol, sorry but I think overrated things always need more haters!! XD Until I saw your profile I thought everybody loved her!! I don't know why though. ><
