Btw i recommend you watch Moribito. There is a decent chance that you will leave with another favourite female character from it.
St0rmrage May 5, 2016 1:25 AM
The only good thing that i could name about Erased if my life depended on it is how it was only 12 episodes long.

I remember when i was a fan of Berserk 7 years ago.I felt like such a special snowflake.
These days everyone is a fan of Berserk and i can't feel special anymore :(
St0rmrage Apr 22, 2016 9:26 PM
Basicly everything i've seen after Erased.

Are you watching the current shogun assassination arc? So damn good, definitely meets the hype. Nonetheless that's a very good one, watched it when it was airing, gave a very good depiction of how the anime industry works and how hard of a job it is and how little people in the industry actually get, which is such a shame btw. That, and the lovely, colorful characters made it such a good show. It's weird how I've developed watching anime the older I get, before I used to watch the shit out of seasonal shows, now I just pick a few that seem interesting and stick with them as opposed to 9 or 10 shows that I keep up with.

Yeah, a friend told me I shouldn't even bother finishing the manga since its quality really decreases towards the end.

How could you? You're parents even got it? That must mean it's cool so therefore you should feel obliged to get one now!

How were your holidays?

Those two are by far my favorites of this year, I wish I can this was a great year for anime but it wasn't, what are your favorites of this year? Hopefully not long but it likely will, I need my Isshiki fix! And those are so rare, I just love him, I never thought I would say an anime character would someone to emulate but Souma is that character haha. What's taking so long? Any rational reason?

Interesting, I will definitely check it out once I'm finished with 20th century boys(which is unbelievably good, like I've said before lol).

How was the Beelzebub manga? I've had it on hold for a while, figure I should start it back up again soon.

Btw do you have skype?

I would likely join you. Well I really enjoyed Yamada, Oregaru, and Souma. I've always loved oregairu but this season was fantastic, focusing on a lot on the main three and there development as well as introducing an awesome new character, can't wait for S3, but in the mean time I will read the LN. Souma MC is what intrigues me the most about it, he's just so non-reactive and nonchalant, the total opposite of most MCs in this kind of anime, so refreshing to see. And I liked Yamada at the beginning but as soon as I read the manga I realized how rushed it is and how much material they skipped but other than that it was enjoyable. How about you?

I love coming of age stories but I don't recall seeing one with psychological twist to it. Sounds interesting and unique nonetheless but I'm curious, why is the protagonist a penguin? Is there a reason for that, or is it just random?

I wish he would just switch it to a monthly release like what Berserk's author Miura is currently doing. That would seem like a fair solution for both the fans and the author.

Yeah I know what you mean, the wait is just excruciating for me, I need my daily dose of Gintama or else I'll go crazy, wow I kinda have a problem don't I? Haha.

How is Punpun? I read the first chapter and I found it very bizarre and got pretty thrown off and didn't continue it, should I give it another try?

Same here! Boosh!

That's his thing, he does it a ton. Fans have coined the term Hiatus x Hiatus for that very reason. I just hope he can finish it before he dies.

It's the hot beverage of choice since I cannot stand coffee and although I like tea too, hot chocolate is just on another level. Hot chocolate is the goat of hot beverages and it's not even close!

Really? I'm surprised it snows anywhere in Australia. I learned a new thing today. Yes!
EliteNEET Apr 30, 2015 1:23 AM
Finished? Do you know how many episodes it's gonna be? I wouldn't have the patience since I'm a huge Gintama fanboy, other shows, yes, Gintama, no way. Yeah they did, here is the video with a split screen of the actual thing they are parodying haha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPnkJJnla4k

You will, I love that it doesn't take itself seriously at all and exaggerates the mc's power so much, he literally beats every enemy with one punch, hence the name OPM. Zero to none, there's just no way, even though it's madhouse, the art is just way too good, I do expect a good adaptation since it's madhouse but the art won't be justified here.

Like 20th century boys! I've read the first three volumes and it's very good, they are just setting up for something crazy but I can see why it's so highly regarded.

I believe it covers all of arcs except the current one., which isn't very current btw lol

That sounds amazing, especially the hot chocolate part, love that shit, could drink it all day, especially during winter, actually only during winter, it's weird to drink it any other time, like very odd lol. Is there any place where it snows? Earth porn man, it's fantastic.
EliteNEET Apr 14, 2015 2:11 AM
And the anime version probably adds certain current events and parodies that the manga doesn't do. Have you watched the first episode of the new Gintama season? It feels so good to have it back, it's truly the only show where I know beforehand I'm gonna laugh out loud at the very least once during my episode watching experience. I've got a recommendation for you, read One Punch Man, it has that Gintama style of comedy and has breath taking art, read it.

Not even in terms of anime, just in terms of any narrative.

It's a blast, one the best shounen shows I've ever seen, the chimera ant arc definitely lives up to its hype, fantastic show.

Oh, you ski, or did you just visit it? I can't imagine many ski resorts in Australia lol. Same here, so much earth porn for my eyes to lay witness to, even in my own country; watching anime and doing introverted hobbies is fine but at some point you just want to see what's in the world you know?
EliteNEET Mar 9, 2015 2:28 AM
How does it compare to the anime? Does it still have the same charm? Do you at least remember who your favorite character was? I hope you do lol.

Would you say it's the most profound, thought-provoking show in the medium? Because I can't think of anything quite like it, and I haven't even watched the show yet. But some people can have different experiences when it comes to manga and anime, you might get a different perspective reading the manga as opposed to watching the anime.

Video rental stores? Yeah that was a thing wasn't it? I remember the good ol days of renting pokemon for my gameboy at blockbuster, good times, and now they're bankrupt for being idiots. If you watch Hunter x Hunter, it will join those two.

Well if you go to Vancouver, sure, because it doesn't really snow there; and there's lots of beautiful earth porn there. And there's also lots of great skiing/snowboarding resorts but if you aren't into that then yeah, not for you, in winter at least.

Have you traveled a lot throughout your life?

"So I guess reading Fate heightens the Unlimited Blade Works viewing experience."

Yes, because Fate was written as n introductory route, it explains alot of stuff that isn't explained in UBW, plus all the characters have build-up that ends up being used in UBW and HF.
Diogo_Brando Feb 20, 2015 6:19 AM
You can watch UBW without having read Fate, but it does not have the same effect. So far, the adaptation has been almost perfect, no complaints on my part. The issues most people complain about, like the fact that it has a highschool setting, are really nitpicks and dumb comments. The comedy and the pacing, however, could use some work.

Dunno, I don't really have the time to watch so many Gintama episodes. I don't think it'll make that big of a difference, because it IS arc-based, but dunno. I'll see when it does air.
Diogo_Brando Feb 20, 2015 4:58 AM
I am waiting for Parasyte to finish so I can marathon it. A friend told me that was the best option to be able to fully enjoy it (he read the manga, so he knows better than I how the story is layed out).

Sequel-wise, I am looking forward to Nisekoi (guilty pleasure), Fate/Stay Night UBW 2, and not much else. As for new shows, Ore Monogatari seems pretty interesting, Yamada-kun and the 7 witches I read the manga and know it's enjoyable, Hibike sounds like something to relax each week, and not much else at the moment. I am thinking of watching the new Gintama season, even though I only watched 10 episodes of the original.
Diogo_Brando Feb 20, 2015 4:23 AM
I'm fine, I think this season is bad. Sequels aside, I don't find any anime that appeals to me. Death Parade is cool, but it's extremely inconsistent, and I already dropped alot of stuff. I'm still watching Akatsuki no Yona and Shigatsu from Fall 2014 though. I hope Spring is much better than this.

How about you?
