Does that mean your parents also went to SoHo and you found some anime/manga stores?

Oi, was just wondering - are you still in NY or did you go back home? Also, have you met any strange people yet?

"WTF?" moments are quite frequent here lol

And I just realized I'm filling up your page with paragraphs >_<

Yeah, thunderstorms all over New York right now. SoHo is a really nice place - you cannot possibly get more high class than SoHo. You can even go by Heath Ledger's old apartment (and many other celebrities, btw) - of course, you have to know where said apartments are though, lol.

Ouch @ Applebees - it's just you and your parents, right? The price seems to have skyrocketed - last time I went to Applebees (lol many years ago) it was like $60 (me and my parents).

The weather's fine, it rained yesterday, but usually it's just stifflingly hot (for New Yorkers, at least lol) It's usually in the upper 70s to mid 80s during the day , and upper 70s to lower 80s at night.

I have to catch up on so much manga, it's ridiculous >_< I was watching Gintama and Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! all last week, so all I've really done was read one or two chapters of the shorter manga; I still haven't gotten deep into MPD Psycho, Claymore, Gintama, Reborn! etc. If it has more than 10 chapters, there's a possibility I haven't gone past those first 10 lol

*Because I'm terrible at all sorts of internet stuff,
I put the link to the SoHo stores here (lol):

Oi, I couldn't give you an address if I tried >_< SoHo's really just the type of place to walk around and discover stuff - but, maybe you can go to the Hotel Concierge and ask them? (Assuming you're staying in a hotel).

In case you can't (or your concierge has no idea what you're talking about); I did a quick browse through the Yellow Pages and found some bookstores in SoHo.

*

That probably won't help you much at all, but it has maps, directions, and telephone numbers to 52 book stores in SoHo - half of which you can just call and ask, "Do you sell manga?" Or you can just go to the Barnes

Happy Birthday!

Oh, and I started reading MPD Psycho a while ago - you're right, it's really good! The art captured me at first, but then the whole mystery behind the bar codes (and the completely whacked psychos) really sold it for me. The things those people do - yikes!

It depends on what you like - to be honest, I've never even been to the Nintendo World Store, despite living here forever.

I'd recommend going to a couple of the landmarks - Empire State Building and Ground Zero (and Times Square, for that matter). Oh, and we just wasted 15 million on a Manmade Waterfall - be prepared to be as unimpressed with it as I was.

You must go to SoHo simply for the experience - there's just a lot of randomness to be found over there (in what we call "The Village"); including a couple of good anime/manga stores.

Otherwise, nothing else really comes to mind - I think there used to be a Disney Store somewhere but I haven't gone to Manhattan just to enjoy myself in a long time - usually I'm just over there for business only.
