it's just 2 weeks cause i had to prepare for some competition. but once that's over, i have to rush through my library book and revise for chinese o levels. (i really don't want to fail it and thne have to take chinese again in JC)

yes! i agree. when i'm waiting for chapters of the manga i'm reading, i get sooo impatient. especially if i'm buying, then its even harder to wait.

oh, you tutor students? i dare not go too near kids cause i'm just too frank for them. i always have the feeling i'll make them cry... but its good you sympathise with them. sometimes a good teacher can make all the difference. i took badminton once and all my coach did was shout at me even though i was trying my upmost best. as expected, i quit after 2 months. now i'm taking cello which is harder in many aspects but my teacher is encouraging, so i'm always motivated.

it's kinda depressing to not do so well in a mugger class right? even though we know that in the whole standard, we are pretty good.

forward module seems like a very sad case. >.< like a whole waste of your own time and stuff.

haha my tolerance for romance is getting lower and lower, which is kinda weird since our age is supposed to be the 'like romance story' age right?

fairy tail? haha of the latest animes i've started, only darker than black is satisfactory. in fact, darker than black is very nice. xD but monster has been on my list forever and i just can't get myself to watch it when the allure of gintama is around.

hehe gintoki is crappy but can be oddly admirable at times. in fact, that pretty much rounds up all gintama characters lol, which is also the selling point of the show. gintama is actually one of the few shows where i like every single character lol.

i think gintama has me interested in samurai shows all over again lol. the first samurai show i watched was samurai deeper kyo, which is second crappiest show i've seen. xD but now i even started samurai champloo since it seems funny. xD

It's okay. I'm his online friend too, but I have knew him for years.

He has been having problems with some neuromuscular disease since young. It's only lately he started having breathing difficulties, but he continue to come online regularly. On 22 Oct, the problem got worsen and he died a few hours after hospitalised.

I’m thinking of starting higurashi too. How is it? I heard many versions: some say emphasis is on mystery, some say on pure bloodiness. But when I saw the art, first thing that popped to mind was D.N.Angel…

Yea, I’m also surprised that hana kimi hasn’t got an anime adaptation. My friend recommended the manga, but I’m not a fan of huge watery eyes on guys, so I wanted to go look for the anime instead. Was quite surprised it hasn’t been released.

That’s a bit cruel though, throwing away so much hard work. XD I still keep all the extra episodes in my external hard disk, which is filling up quite fast. But I still won’t consider deleting those files lol. I shall wait for that one day when I am bored enough to rewatch. Though something tells me it’ll never happen

I think you’ll make a very good teacher though! ^=^ and I really think teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs. Though sometimes, even I feel sorry for the teachers. Its like, when we do one assignment, they have to mark many many more. After our exams, we can play, but they must still sit and mark them. Nowadays, they’re also in charge of so many events and CCAs etc.

Whoa, I may think we have the same friend if not for the ‘he’. XD I don’t get why people want to talk like that. You only make people around you awkward. Sure people will be in awe for a while, but after a while they’ll only want to avoid talking to you. That’s the case with my friend now, whenever the conversation goes somewhere I don’t want it to, I give some excuses to slip away.

Nah, don’t have the mentality you’re not good enough for someone. ^=^ I never ever believe there’s such a thing as a ‘grade’ for people. If others like you, by all means, hang around them. After all, if people enjoy each others’ company, it’s a win-win ^o^

Yea, this breed of people is getting rarer and rarer. That’s something I feel that sometimes we Chinese people lack. My malay friends in primary school were much more generous in this sense. And that friend who brings the cello, she’s a Korean.

I really can’t stand it. But I know I succumb to the same problems sometimes so I try to have patience. But it is when someone doesn’t show the slightest concern that she’s making others feel very uncomfortable that I get irritated. I actually think the more you show off, the less impressed people get. I mean, no matter what you do, people have seen it before.

*applaud* omg, you shock me again. XD I decided not to read the kimi ni todoke manga because the anime looks too nice for me to get spoilers now. I think among the currently airing ones, darker than black and kimi ni todoke are seriously very nice. Can hardly wait for more episodes.

I went to watch the ‘nobody’ PV just to see what’s the huge buzz about. It’s catchy, but well… I don’t see anything very spectacular about it. (in fact the video almost made me tear since it was so bright)

Omg, you seem to be very good at picking out my sadist side. And I recently rewatched one ep of nougami neuro and seriously LOVED yako’s screaming. so it's sadist-confirmed. but don't you think without the dying, there's no fun? XD

Even for kiddy detective shows, I can never expect what will happen. My logic for these sorta stuff is just too low xD

Yep, just ended yesterday and relaxed so much I felt like it ended long long ago. XD but it’s so sad, now that I’m finally liberated, you’re going to hell again. XD your lessons sure are long… I heard from our senior high students the most annoying timetable is when you have lessons very early in the morning then loads of free period but with the last lesson ending at some ungodly hour.

There’s an anime for that? xD but stereotype of the show tells me I won’t like it. >.< generally I try to keep off overly popular shows… so shows which have like tonnes of adaptation are flashing "keep off" signals at me. XD

I can understand. I’m quite sure I had that thought before too until I realise my comp’s CD burner thing is spoilt. The idea of that is always very appealing when we were younger though =D it's like a box you buy outside, one whole series you can own. (though logically, it'll probably only rot in a cupboard)

Well, what I do to tell myself to study harder for subjects I don’t intend to take is that: “this is the last bio and chem paper in my life. Finish it without regrets”. So that if you look back on your exam days, you won’t be remembering guilt and such.

If you apply for university, which degree will you reply for? XD I still don’t know what sector you’re going into =D

There are also people who like to talk in scientific terms just to make others think “oh how knowledgeable you are!”. I have this friend who’ll use words like perforated and thyroid glands in her conversation and I just get pissed. I think in daily conversations, stick to normal terms so it’s easier to understand! And the moment I don’t understand a term, oh she’ll rush in to enlighten me on these completely redundant and irrelevant stuff I’ll never need in my life.

It’s irritating when people only want our praise to boost their ego. I know it’s human to want to get people to look up to you, but please! Know the limit!! I know of some people who are truly modest and they’re always a joy to be around. i'm always trying to get myself to be like them, so easygoing and open.

Like there is one friend of mine who’s REALLY good at the cello. She agreed to bring it to my house to let me play with it. (which is far from convenient seeing as a cello is very big) And as someone who has never even touched a string instrument before, I sucked! Can’t even do a proper scale on it. Yet she never ever grabbed it from me to show off how good she was, instead she’ll take my fingers and guide me to the correct position. And it took me about 2 hours to learn a scale (and sound like crap) where she just listened and guided me.

A total contrast to my other friend, who is decent at piano but every time I go to her house, she’ll show me her latest repertoires. And then when she ask me to try stuff on the piano, she’ll give me loads of pieces which I can’t play well and then she’ll play it correctly in front of me to ‘teach’ me. =.= and then comment on stuff about my lack of finger strength when I think “I play the electone! I focus more in instrument sound mixing and arrangements than finger coordination and strength control”

Haha back to anime, I also prefer watching to reading. Watching can sit back and let info seep in comfortably. Reading must process more. It’s the lazy people’s guide to survival. I absolutely hate reading manga online. Most are badly translated, poor quality and makes my eyes tired.

Haha to me, every member of the wonder girls look exactly the same. I don’t believe a group which sells themselves using such an image is going to be decent at singing. It’s like the Korean version of the pussycat dolls or something. Completely are only for sickos to ogle at.

I don’t like shonen fights for the reason that they can’t make me anxious… because no one will ever die, and they’ll either kill off the bad guy there and then or leave it till another day. This is why I prefer shows like Monster, since you never know when someone will die.

Yes, from 1 episode, to 1 hour, to just a few more episodes and you end up with the whole day. Or half a whole day then you try to return to work, then decide it’s already quite late so might as well just continue relaxing… omg, I hate myself for doing that. (did it today) I should really realize I have only 6 more days of exams end of exams, so 6 days of revision won’t kill me and will lift a whole load of guilt off after the exams!!!

Really? I’ve never seen teens do it. But then I suddenly rmb that a lot of teens are very noisy on the bus… but still! It’s as though they have a permit to insult us just because they are older and we can’t flame them back. Most are actually alright but it’s those few that really ruin the image in both cases of teens and elderly…

I only know hana yori dango got loads of versions, Chinese, Korean, Japanese. I never liked dramas much so even if they showed, I seldom watch. As for my mum, she can never remember when they air so she gave up on trying to watch too. XD

Burning onto disk seems like a very old fashioned way to do it now. XD nowadays everything is external hard disk. Technology sure goes fast… whatever was new 2 years ago seems ancient now.

Never thought of smooching sounds lol. XD but I worry I may be too busy spamming animes than to do that. Because under the allure of so many things to do, animes come first!!!

Lol, we’re going on Chinese speaking campaign. I’m having the same problem now but luckily mine is short term, till the exams end. It’s my class people being overly obsessed (taking note that obsessed already means overly concerned, so I’m basically saying they’re overly overly concerned) about grades it’s irritating me. I don’t see why I must get an A+ in subjects I don’t even like nor plan to take next year.

Out of interest, do you find our society a bit overly humble? Well, humble isn’t the exact word, since the feeling I get when people deny they’re good at something (when they obviously ARE very good) is that they’re saying “no no, I’m not good at all. Tell me more to convince me I am >D” I keep feeling as though they’re fishing for compliments. I’m someone who can never say sweet stuff even if you kill me, so I can never interact very well with those kinds of people when they go into exam mode.

Haha yes, gilbert turned completely useless, idiotic, simple and spineless by the 10th episode or so… the beginning was what caught me too, but after that the anime just couldn’t maintain it. The manga is better but it’s showing hints of turning into those never-ending series… =.=

Yep, kajiura’s works for tsubasa chronicles were really nice. That’s actually the first anime soundtrack I listened to and it got me started on soundtracks as a whole. =D

But personally I think she’s better as a song composer than anime one. Cause her anime soundtracks are all pretty similar and lack the distinct feel of each anime. One can hardly say tsubasa = Pandora hearts, yet the 2 OSTs are very very similar. But her compositions for Fiction Junction, Kalafina and other artistes are really unique and nice, since her style is very different from normal jpop composers =D

I agree, strong singers are getting more and more uncommon now that people are looking out for face value. What makes matter worse is that the music gets more and more drowning. My friend who listens to Korean songs says that for Korean female singers, there are 2 kinds, one is the powerful kind. The other in the kind who is so skinny and pale and sound so out of breath she looks like she may just faint on stage.
