Before you start ragging on me for how I do my list, I'll just say this. I'm on this site for me, not you. I don't care if you think I shouldn't rate a series before I've finished it. I do it to tell me how I've liked it so far. And if I haven't rated it, but it said I've watched it, it probably means that I don't remember exactly how I liked it. Or if I have it on my plan to watch list but it is rated, it probably means I want to watch it again. Obviously, since I'm on this site, I'm an anime nerd. Most of the time in the "About Me" sections of a profile, I would talk about anime. Even though you can tell what I like already, I will still blabber. Endulge me.
I'm more into shonen anime and manga, though I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed shojos like Ouran High School Host Club and Fruits Basket. Action is definitely more my style however. Nobuhiro Watsuki, manga-ka of Rurouni Kenshin and Busou Renkin is my favorite. He was the one who got me interested in this little slice of Japan, and for that I will be truly greatful.
Yaoi and yuri anime don't particularly catch my fancy, though some are quite cute like Junjou Romantica. I do not like hentai, though I hold nothing against anyone who does. To each his own, as they say.
I'm a huge fan of fanfiction (hehe), and I've dabbled around in it myself. A friend of mine says if I spend so much time writing stories that I can never get published/make money off of, I shouldn't be doing it. But I like it, so I'll keep on writing! OCs are okay if they are believable and the author didn't suddenly just make the real story's love interest drop off the face of the planet. I've a bunch more I could say, but I won't. On a more personal (less nerdy) note, I like cats, cold weather, listening to my friends talk and playing on the computer. Right now, I am an undeclared freshman honors student at a university that I shall not name. But I'll probably be going into English or linguistics. (I'm currently taking Japanese 101 and it is awesome!)
The books I like are about knights, dragons, demons etc. My favorite author is Tamora Pierce. I've read all of her books. Before you ask, I read the Twilight series. I liked the plot, not the way it was written. I also read Harry Potter. Same situation. I can't completely blame Rowling for that since the grammar and stuff is changed when switched from the British to American format. It gives her a tiny bit of an excuse but not enough for her to be so popular.
I listen to rock and alternative rock, though I can tolerate country and do enjoy a good bit of classical now and again. My favorite bands are I Am Ghost, Three Days Grace, Escape the Fate and the like. My favorite TV shows in no particular order are House, Bones, NCIS, Law and Order, The Mentalist, Leverage and others similar to those.

Ouch that does sound very painful. My high school didn't have an anime club, so I guess having that is better. But yea we usually watch a few currently airing shows and then 1 completed show. It's usually good times, we're all a bit quirky, but we all get along. Look forward to meeting you.
