Usotsuki Lily is very unusual manga that takes a typical gender bender shoujo and puts its own twist on it. I say unusual because it's not a story that everyone could get into right off the bat, but once one opens their mind to something a little out of the ordinary, it's truly worth it.
Story: 8
Its centered around a girl named Hinata who accepts a love confession in the first chapter from a boy named En, to only later find out the her new boyfriend has an intense interest in crossdressing.

overcome the difficulties their faced with down the road (the story has more to it then just this though). Overall, the story is absolutely hilarious! Its one of those manga where one doesn't go a single chapter without laughing, whether its simply giggling or laughing hysterically. It also beaks the fourth wall a lot in the manga, so in a way, its kinda like a parody on shoujo manga. With that being said, I did cry in some chapters because of super sweet and some sad moments. The author does a great job by not putting in "shoujo drama", making this manga such a fun read. It takes the gender bender genre to a new level with going into topics like what makes a guy a guy and what makes a girl a girl despite the obvious difference. It sends the message to readers that no matter who you are as a person, you deserve and will find, love.
Art: 9
The art was obviously very shoujo like, hence thats it's genre, but it was very well done. The manga is filled with super hot guys and adorable/hot girls, in which the author did a great job in drawing them.
Characters:
This manga dosen't neglect any of their characters, to the point where it even jokes on who the main character of the story really is. Even each of the "secondary characters" gets more than one chapter centered on just them. Honestly, I can't decide on who my favorite character is, since all of them are unique and adorable in their own way.
Enjoyment: 10
Like I said before, this manga is really funny. So who does't enjoy a manga to its fullest when it makes one laugh. I actually couldn't stop reading it after the first few chapters, because it just hooks you so quick.
Overall: 8
I give it an 8 overall and not a 9 or 10, because when it comes down to it, its a really just a fun read. Its not anything serious and it doesn't have a compelling story. However, that does't mean its not still really good...it was just not meant to be that type of manga (not everything can be a masterpiece like mars and nana). With that being said, I really loved reading Usotsuki lily!
PS: Please don't judge me if this review was bad lol, because I'm not very good at reviews. However, I just have to write my thoughts about a manga or anime I really enjoyed....so bare with me ;D

Story: 7
I really thought this manga was just a silly romance manga with little to no story that I would just read in order to pass time. Well honestly the story is actually pretty cool and unique. The supernatural aspect mixed with romance was well structured and captivating. Yes, it tends to be very sexual and kinda throws the topic of rape in their a lot, but they mix it in the story where it doesn't seem forced (plus if there's a guy and a girl in love, their most likely going to have sex and make out a lot and not just a few

times like in other romance manga). If the story was more of a shounen and built on more, it really would have been very engrossing even more so and more mature (mature not only in the sense of sex and stuff).
Art: 9
The art was really nice and the artist rarely or ever got lazy in chapters. It was vibrant and detailed enough sort of like a shoujo and shounen manga's art put together if you know what I mean.
Character: 8
I loved pretty much all of the characters in this manga, especially the main characters. Well the female protagonist, Misao, was very annoying and whinny and cried way to much, but she redeemed herself in many ways and its actually hard to completely hate her, because she's like a lovable puppy (kinda like Nana Komatsu). All the important characters were built on well and all had their own background stories shown (even if it was just briefly). Every character in this series has their own funny and/or honorable trait to them that it just makes it to hard to despise them.
Enjoyment: 10
I do have complaints about this manga, but I really enjoyed it. It was a fun read that had quite unexpected plot twist that keeps you on edge. It's a manga I'm truly glad I read and has a special place on my future manga bookshelf.

I've missed this anime so much. Every episode of Kill la kill is nothing but a joyride in which I had such a pleasure watching. This graduation episode made me cry not because it was sad but instead because it was beautiful too see the lovely characters once again in action.
Story (10):
The way the OVA is set up infers that this graduation incident most likely took place somewhere before Ryoko, Mako, and Satsuki's date. was a beautiful ending to an amazing series, that tied up a loose end from episode 24.
Art (10):
As we all ready know, Kill la Kill's art is nothing short from superb. Like most OVA's following a series, the art looked more crisp and vibrant.
Sound (10):
Kill la kill's beautiful soundtrack was played for us once again, along with a new song which really fit the mood of a scene and is just as great as the others.
Characters (10):
All the characters we came to love were shown once again doing badass stuff as usual. It's really great how much they've grown from episode 1.
Overall, I enjoyed every minute of this special with a huge grin on my face and some tears in my eyes. Like everything great, it must come to an end. Kill la kill says there farewell to us fans with a powerful message that everyone has to graduate from the past, of course not forgetting or being ashamed of who they were before but, they must pick there're heads up and look forward to what is to come.

Strobe Edge was a manga I knew of for a while due to my love of Ao Haru Ride. I would see pictures of it, so I decided to just skipped through(didn't read) the last chapter for fun, but never decided to seriously read the whole manga. I always wanted to go back but since I spoiled the ending I felt as if there was no point, but I came around and ended up truly reading this manga and I'm glad I did.
Plot:

person experiences. It's a lovely story that is plain old cute. It's one of those that never gets boring. Every frustrating, cute, and sad part, I wouldn't change any of it. I enjoyed the fact that it steered away as much as possible from typical shoujo clichés. It was a beautiful story filled with nothing but the thought of love.
Art:
The art was great(expecting nothing less from the great Sakisaks-sama). It's not as detailed and vivid as Ao Haru Ride, and you can defiantly see how Sakisaka-sama improved from Strobe Edges to Ao Haru Ride, but that's not disputing the fact that the art of strobe edge was great.
Characters:
I didn't hate a single character in this series. I loved them all. The main characters were outstanding, and the secondary characters were nothing less. I loved how parts of the manga focused on other characters relationships and not just the main characters feelings of love. Going back to the shoujo clichés, I'm very glad that there was no real female antagonist (I hate them the most) and even the male antagonist was more of a hopeless romantic, filled with the agony of unrequited love. I also enjoyed the fact that the female protagonist had a larger group of friends instead of how in a lot of shoujo they only tend to have one or two friends. To make a long story short, the manga was filled with characters who really lived up to the saying "everybody loves somebody."
Overall:
I give strobe edge a 10/10. I enjoyed so much, it was really funny and super sweet. And definitely one of those that are fighting for the first place in my favorite romance manga list. Sakisaka-sama is a gifted author and artist who I adore. I truly recommend you read Strobe Edge ^_^

Note: This review is going to be more between both series.
This anime is one of the best series out there. I've seen a lot of other people's reviews and I'm constantly seeing the same pattern, which is that everyone is comparing Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood to the first series, Fullmetal Alchemist. I'm here to break that pattern and say I love them both equally. I feel that one can't compare them, because both series are very different.
Story:
The frist series story was great. I liked how although it used the same characters and the bases of the storyline, they created something very different from the manga. Usually

I don't like when animes don't follow mangas, but the first series wasn't suppose to follow the manga and it took a totally different turn that was amazing in it's own way. For the brotherhood series (which went just like the manga), was also an amazing story. The brotherhood version focused more on the corruption in the world, while the first version still did as well, but more emotional. The first series made me cry more, because almost everything died in the series (while the second series I still cried, but got more pissed at all the corruption in their world). In other words, one isn't better than the other, because both series have their perks and fill in the gabs that each one had.
Art:
The art is great in both of them. Obviously the first version had an older art, and the brotherhood version's art was more crisp and vibrant (but that's just because one came out in 2003 while the other in 2009...big time leap).
Sound:
I like all the openings and endings in both series, because they all fit the arc that they are introduced in. All the sounds played during the episodes also fit the scenes.
Characters:
I remeber hearing on one form that Ed and Al's relationship was stronger in the first series, but that's not true...in both series there put to similar and different situations that test there brotherhood. And without fail, those two always stick together. There bond is just as strong in both series. For other characters, some didn't exists in the first series that existed in brotherhood. Some characters were more important/less important in brotherhood than they were in the first series, which didn't effect either stories. In both series, one either hates a character, loves them, or has no opinion on...but it's mostly love or hate.
Overall:
One series isn't better than the other, one was meant to go by the manga and one wasn't. Both stories were amazing, truthful, and brought tears to one's eyes. I love and appreciate both series, and I hope you do too. I suggest people to watch both series (but to watch Fullmetal Alchemist then Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, because if you watch Brotherhood first you will just find yourself constantly critiquing how the first series doesn't follow the manga...so you won't enjoy the messages each series has to offer you.) I watched the first version when I was like seven years ago and I just finished Brotherhood, and not once did I compare.

I learned about this movie from an AMV (Anime Music Video). I usually don't watch AMV's (there sort of annoying to me), but I'm glad I watched that one, because I was able to to learn about this beautiful movie.
Story:
The movie was fairly short (only 45 min.), but a very sweet and emotional story. At first I thought it was going to be a movie where I will just smile the whole time, but I ended up crying. It had very fun parts that made my laugh and the whole story was very well put together. Yes, it's more of a short film then a

typical movie that is at least an hour, but Hotarubi no Mori e didn't feel rushed at all. It's story is something that I would only want to see in 45 min, if it was longer it might have felt unnecessary. In other words the amount of time was just enough for the type of story it was.
Art and Sound:
The art was really good. Since the colors were vibrant, it brought out the features in the characters. There was really only one song they played throughout the movie (it was instrumentals during the movie, and the ending credits had the same song, but with lyrics). The song was very pretty.
Characters:
I really liked the characters. Hotaru (the female protagonist) was adorable, and Gin(the male protagonist) was really cool. I liked how Hotaru grew up(from six years old to high school age) during the movie. This really added to the story (it was more emotional that way, because us views were able to see how Hotaru and Gin's relationship progressed from an innocent friendship to love.
There is just one little boy that I hate (if you watch the movie you will understand). He ruined everything lol.
Overall:
This movie made me cry at the end, but I also smiled while tears ran down my face, because Hotaru and Gin were finally able to get there wish. I feel like there were many themes in this movie that were so adorable. You will always somehow meet a person who understands you and you will create a deep friendship and bond with them, and the other theme is...love can be hard but it will always find away. This movie gets a 10/10 :D

I'm usually not very into mecha animes, but Kakumeiki Valvrave changed my view.
Plot:
Im sure the plot has been done before, because there is many animes with high schoolers in mechas(take like almost all of the gundam series), but Valvrave put there own twist onto things. Valvrave deals with a lot of demonic attributes with not only the creepy music but how the protagonist (Haruto) is always trying to bite the sh*t out of someone. started watching it, all i did was look at it and I thought it was stupid, but I decided to go back an watch it my self and I couldn't wait to know what happened in the next episode. Valvrave can defiantly be an anime you judge at first site, but since every episode ends with a cliff hanger...you desperately want to know what happens next.
Art and Music:
The art is very crisp and I can see the artist of this anime really focuses on colors, because it really brings out and brightens everything on the characters. Watch Valvrave in HD(shout out to nwanime), your eyes will bleed because of the brightness(joking, but HD Valvrave is the best). I like both the OP and ED 1, but the second ED is ok but not great.
Characters:
Valvrave, like most animes, makes you hate the main character(Haruto)...because he's a b*tch. But because he's the main dude I guess you can accept him(but, Haruto did gain some extra points to me in episode 10). I hate the main love interest of Haruto, Shoko. I love the second sort of kinda of love interest of Haruto(she likes him more than he like her), Saki. Saki is a little annoying in the begging, but after finding out why she's that way...you love her. The other main dude, L-elf is awesome. And the other characters you either love, like, hate, or don't really have an opinion on.
Romance Aspect:
I had to add this as its separate category, since I'm a girl who loves her romance. Valvrave has actually more romance then you think(which I like oh so much), but it pisses you off a little , cuz the anime writers have to be cliché some times and do the "right" thing(although I want to see I guess you could say the "wrong" thing)...you'll get what I'm talking about if you watch it. To say the least, Valvrave's romance parts kinda of get you excited.
Overall, I give Valvrave a 9/10. The anime is well thought through, it has great art, music, romance, but that anime all together has to involve a little more to the next level. Because, it's a time of anime that if they don't throw in new curve balls into the second season...it can become sort of redundant.

Bokura ga Ita was a true love story full of hardships that an average relationship has. When you watch the first episodes you think of it as an average anime, but after a few more, it make you realize the truth about love. This is the first anime that truly made me cry, because the situations the characters are put through are things that most people can relate with.
