Many of the characters were very enjoyable. I enjoyed Shu throughout the series. I like main characters that aren't complete badasses because that let's us see how they /do/ because one. At first, I thought Inori had no personality. But as the show progressed, I started to really love her. Ayase is another great character. And there are many more.
The art was wonderful. I loved the character designs. And stuff like that. The opening and endings were also beautiful.
The concept was very interesting to me. And I was very happy when they dropped the "terrorist" plot. Because it stopped being, basically a clone of Code Geass.
Plot holes. They last few episodes seemed very rushed. And the writer's didn't explain everything. But that doesn't bother me much, after all, Code Geass is my favorite anime.
Some scenes were very lame. Like the fact that Gai and Shu actually grew up together. The entire scene seemed like a throwback to Code Geass. In fact, the entire climax around episode 10-12 was very annoying to me.
Overall, I think it's a quality anime. It's really one of those "You love it or hate it" kind of things. My only advice, is give it several episodes. The first few, mostly the second one, are so bad I couldn't believe anyone could like it. But after the 4th episode, I started to really like it.

Okay, as you all know, the plot starts off pretty simply. People have Future Diaries. They have to kill each other. However, the plot turns really convoluted after a certain episode.
I'm actually a big fan of yanderes. And to me, Yuno Gasai was the only thing about this series that was constantly good. She was a very well written character. And was very enjoyable.
However, there are some really bad characters. Like how some characters were "quirky" but had no real personality to back it up. Most the characters come off as complete psychopaths at first, like Minene, and Reisuke. And others just lose it at random points throughout the series. And some characters are shown to be "Good guys" despite doing very horrible things. Again, like Minene and Yuno.
One thing that you'll notice, is that the writer seems to really like Yuno. In fact, no matter what, she's /always/ right. ALWAYS.
Until the end of the series where the writer decided they hated her and turned her into a complete monster.
Some of the plot twists were laughable. And I hated more characters than I liked. Some characters had no personalities what so ever. And most the romance, besides Yukiteru and Yuno, were poorly executed. Meaning the characters met like twice, and decided they were in love. Except on one occasion, they met once.
And they art was pretty weird at times. I didn't care for some of the character designs. But overall, I liked it.
The voice acting and theme songs were good. I liked most of the aspects of the sounds.
I did enjoy the series very much. I really liked it. I just didn't like the direction it took at the end.
It's okay. Really, it's fun to watch. But overall, it's not great, not bad, just okay. read more
