I would have to say Disgaea is one of my favourite anime's. It has a very good plot and will make you laugh no matter what :). The storyline is very unique, 2 demons and an angel on a journey isn't your everyday anime.


Art: 5 stars

Although the storyline is good, the art, sadly, isn't one of the best I've seen. The characters are like Lucky Star-- Always chibi. They do very little detail and the bodies sometimes are unporportional. Also, the scenery is sort of bland. Still, it's one of those anime's that isn't about the art really.

Sound: 9 stars

The music fit well with the anime, I can't say that I've heard a misplaced or poor song. It was very suspenseful and fit well with Makai Senki Disgaea.

Characters: 10 stars

Completely unique, with different and cute outfits. Their personalities are extremely unlike most anime characters. Laharl is very young like most of the others in the anime, and is very hateful towards everyone, and honestly acts like he doesn't care if anyone left or stayed, yet, hatefully, he keeps the group along without being able to say how nice he is. Etna is a loyal yet backstabbing servant at the same time, would do anything for Laharl yet wouldn't mind if he died, so she could take the place at his throne.


The story was very enjoyable, it was funny, and there were always new twists and characters around the corners. Overall, it's a seven, because I enjoyed it a lot, and it was hilarious, but it was a wee bit too short, and the animation and art could have been better. read more
