She didn't know what the hell I was talking about. :o I guess she doesn't watch as much you.
I did well on the presentation. Of course it's getting better, but it looks sorta ugly. Well, it's not like other people look at my toes anyway. My toenail actually healed too, but it'll take a while before it becomes normal."
I am wearing glasses! But they're not for reading. Oh no, I've got nothing against them, but sometimes their speech makes me laugh. My chemistry teacher who's Chinese called chip bags like Doritos and Cheetos "bags of snack." LOL
Yeah. But it helps to know someone in the inside, right? I'm planning to work at the same place as my mom when I finish school.
What happened to your Rei picture? :O Whenever I think of you, I always think of Rei. Who's that lady?
Alright, but there's probably a lot of episodes and I probably should watch it from episode one. I also don't really watch TV much now because I have internet. :o I showed my sister your picture on your profile, and she was able to remember the names. Random names too. Wth!
Well, my left one, which is my big left toe, is the problematic one. I was setting up stuff for a party at a buffet. I decided to take off my shoes since I was thinking of other people, so I went on a table with socks on. But I think I should've worn them! When I finished, I dropped to the chair instead of taking it steady and lost my balance when I made contact with the chair. I slid forward and back on the chair before falling off. That was when I put a lot of weight and momentum on my left toe. Part of the back nail was lifted and the skin on the other side of the toe was opened. :o I almost fainted because I was bleeding in two places, haha. It hurt, but it was mainly throbbing pain. But it was hard to sleep at night the day! I kept waking up a few times and I had to do a presentation in the morning, haha. As for my other one, it's probably not broken, but I walked into my backpack that was full of school stuff while I was wearing slippers. The nail got raised a bit and bleed a little, but it's not so bad.
As por my life? lol. I dunno, I thought you wanted to sound like a foreigner or something... But that kinda sounds like my life. :P That's good. It's better to be that than pessimistic. It's nice to hear the sound of strikes of bowling pins... I'm older than you, but I have zero job experience. :o
Is that great? I watched a few episodes of it and thought it's really random. I can't really compare it to random anime, but I'm always thinking wth when I watch it.
Yes, indeed. What happened? Busy with life? I'm kinda messed up right now lol. I broke my toenail and cut myself under my toe the same time almost two weeks ago. Then yesterday, I broke another toenail on my pinky toe of my other foot.
Hey there. Come here often?
See, I noticed you from across the room and- wait, let's start this over again...
Hey there! It's been a while.
Being mostly my fault, you have my apologies.
Hmm, you know... it's been such a while, that it's probably best to not try and continue that old conversation. I mean, it could work... but the content is kinda outdated!
Anyway, if you don't mind talking some more...
How's it going? Watch much anime, lately? Cause I sure haven't!
I'm not gonna lie to you, I watched maybe... 1 hour or so of anime, in the past 3-4 months.
I tried to watch some stuff, but it did nothing for me. I may have grown tired of it.
And you know what that means: No waifu for me.
Well darn, what a shame. How will I go on!?
My interests have sliiiightly changed recently. When I was younger, I used to LOVE watching pro wrestling. Well, for various reasons,
I've really gotten back into it. The storylines have been pretty shitty for an extended period of time, but it's gotten interesting again!
I can go into more depth with the wrestling thing, if you want.
Before moving on, I will say one thing: I hate hate hate when people say "You know it's fake, right?"
I'm not an idiot, nor am I a little kid anymore. -_-
Also, I've really gotten into the Uncharted series, for the PS3.
I bought 1 & 2, beaten 1, and am halfway through 2. It's great!!
It deserves all the hype it gets, it's a very well made game.
I have a friend who doesn't want to play games like that, because they're "western". Seriously?
If anything, "western" developers have been getting much better in recent years.
Most Japanese developers seem to be stuck in the past, with only the not-so-often gem.
But that's just my take on it. The only Japanese game I am really hyped up for is Dark Souls.
But there is nothing "Japanese" about the game... except for the people who made it.
If someone saw a gameplay video, they'd think it was a game made here.
Dark Souls is pretty much the "spiritual successor" to Demon's Souls.
And it promises to be even more hard, and unforgiving. Well, damn! Sign me up!
Anyway, I'll let all of that sink in, before talking more and more.
This time, I'll make more of an effort to respond back.
In the mean time, take care. I'll talk to you later!
I heard MAL is some kind of masochist...
Think about it... MAL will take all of the abuse and won't do a thing about it.
I think... I think it likes these long messages!
Right now I'm just getting into it, but I want to read some stuff.
I did a tiiiny bit of research, and found some stuff I'm interested in.
Let me tell you this, you're right. It can be pretty hard to follow a series...
Lots of spin-offs, reboots, alternate story lines.... phew... -_-
One of the things I'm interested in is the Marvel Civil War.
It has just about all of the important Marvel characters, good and bad.
Any "real" comic fan can probably explain it better, but here's what it deals with:
The U.S. establishes the "Superhuman Registration Act", which requires anyone
with super powers to register as a "human weapon of mass destruction",
give up their identity to authorities, and go through special training.
Then they can join a force called S.H.I.E.L.D., which nets a salary & benefits.
They're like law enforcement, but they deal with superhuman matters.
So of course, not everyone is in favor of the Act.
The Marvel universe splits into two sides: for and against the act.
(with even the villains taking sides)
THAT pretty much leads into a full-blown war amongst the Marvel universe.
A lot of crazy stuff happens, with one gigantic event happening before the conclusion.
When that happened a while back, that spoiler was flying around everywhere.
If you ever get interested in it, don't use Wikipedia!
They'll just spoil the shit out of everything and not be afraid of anything.
Anyway, I really want to read it. I've already... erm... obtained it.
My body just isn't ready yet. ;_; I know it'll be a great read, though.
Probably one of the best parts, is that you don't have to know too much about
all of the characters' separate series to enjoy it. (I'm sure it helps, though)
As far as the Ultimate Universe, I know a little bit.
Basically, they're re-tellings of the stories, but made for the modern day reader.
They probably change a few details here and there, but it's essentially the same story.
I'm interested in X-Men and Avengers... maybe Deadpool.
Here's a little clip from one of his spin-off issues:
That's the cool thing about these comics, though. Yeah...
they're a pain to follow in order, but there's so much out there.
Don't like X-Men? Then there's Avengers (Iron-Man, Capt. America, Hulk, Thor have their own stuff), Spider-Man, Fantastic 4, and the list goes on!
Lots of people (including anime fans) think that it's all just kiddy stuff.
Not only is that ironic, but it's not even like that. There's actually some depth so these things.
It... just so happens that these heroes are easy for kids to admire and look up to. ~_^
Some of the lesser-known stuff is kind of interesting, too.
She-Hulk is a unique character, for instance.
Little bonus Wolverine facts: Had a Japanese wife, has a son (Daken) who shares similar powers & is a cold killer who wouldn't hesitate to attack daddy.
How does that not sound interesting? >_>
There's even a Marvel mini-story where super villains disguise themselves as
well-known heroes (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and such) and the public doesn't know it's actually a bunch of villains. (Dark Avengers)
This is the kind of stuff I can get into!
Batman and Superman are cool, too. Luckily, DC's animated series
are actually pretty good, so you needn't rely on the comics.
(Not that there's anything wrong with them)
DC just recently started publishing a comic for Batman Beyond.
Man... I used to love Batman Beyond. That show was ahead of it's time.
Anyway, I'm glad your stuff wasn't too bad, and that's very understandable.
It may not be pretty for some people, but everyone needs to blow up eventually.
Holding pent-up anger in for a long time can't be healthy.
If you ever want to vent some stuff, I wouldn't argue it.
But, yes... I'm glad you got through that stuff.
I really want to start school, it can get boring here at home.
Like I said, according to the school's website, the 101 classes
don't start until the Fall... so I guess we gotta keep playing the waiting game.
You're right, though! The year has been going by kind of fast,
so I'm not down about it or anything.
Until then... I'll keep you posted. ~_^
Heh heh...
THANK YOU.
You know, I'm really glad there's a person who can relate to the things I say.
So what can I say? I feel the exact same way.
It was a tragedy, and I do feel bad for the people of Japan.
With that said, screw those people.
It's one thing that I have to hear every day that there are more deaths,
higher radiation, more concerns...etc.
But really now?? You're asking about your damn cartoons?
"Japan didn't deserve this!"? RAAAGE
It was a terrible thing, but natural disasters happen all of the time.
In all honesty, no country "deserves it"...
Yet people (weeaboos) continue to say the same thing.
Like I said, I'm glad you feel the same way.
Most people would probably think I'm being insensitive... when that's not the case.
And as for moe... I can deal with moe and loli stuff, but yeah...
when it's ALL THERE IS out there... then it's just... uninteresting.
(Throw in a mecha and shounen series, and that's seriously what it is!)
And I'll just throw this out there... One of the only series I feel like watching is Squid Girl.
Or, Ika Musume, for our... more picky readers.
For some reason, it doesn't seem as generic as others...
and the art style is a bit different than usual.
Woah boy... Demon's Souls.
The only problem with me talking about this game, is that I go on and on and on and on and on about the game.
The reason it became huge, is because of it's difficulty.
It's one of the most challenging (and best) games I've played in a long time.
The game doesn't hold your hand, and punishes you for dying.
Even then... it's not impossible. It just takes patience.
The regular game is nice and tough. After you beat the game,
you can do a new game plus, where you keep most of your things, and your level.
And... in new game plus... they add on an additional 40% difficulty.
The enemies and bosses become A LOT stronger.
Every time you beat the game, it adds another 8% difficulty,
and doesn't stop adding on until after... New Game++++++++ (8).
If you're "within level", you can summon other players to help you.
Conversely, you can get invaded by another player!
If they kill you, they take your body.
The one nice thing about the game is that it's priced like a budget title,
so it's not too hard on the wallet.
There's a lot more to the game, but I'll keep it short for now. :3
MvC3 wasn't a terrible game or anything. It was actually fun, at first.
The thing is... Capcom didn't put as much work into the game as they should have.
For single-player modes, it's reeeeaaallly lacking. No replay value in that.
When you're in a room with other players, and it's not your turn
to fight, you can't even watch their match!!
How can you not put that in the game, when like, all other games have that!
Dark Phoenix is really badass. She looks badass, and her voice actress does a perfect job.
The game has it's good points, but I dunno... I just got bored of it after a week.
I sold the game at a profit, and if I ever want to play it again, I'll wait until
all the DLC is out, and get it for cheap. It's a win/win.
The one game I'm kind of excited for is the new Mortal Kombat game.
I used to love MK, and they're going back to their roots with this one.
They're adding lots of goodies and unlockable stuff to keep the player busy.
It's supposed to have a story mode, and a challenge tower, with like... 300 missions.
And while we're on games, I got Pokemon Black. Not bad, so far!
After this long, and this many games, they've managed to do a pretty good job with
the new ones. They've really anime'd up the game.
It tries to have an actual storyline, but the bad thing about that,
is that it comes with typical clichés and moral lessons.
Also, instead of a single rival, they give you two friends which are kind of annoying.
It's a pretty good game so far, even with those bad points.
When it comes to Nintendo, they really try on their main franchises.
Well that's good to hear!
And no need for you to worry... no pillow waifu. Not after... my last pillow love.
Seriously though, I never really saw the appeal with the pillow waifu.
I mean... call me crazy! I just don't find them hot.
It's a pillow for crying out loud...
I like pillows, they're comfy and whatnot... doesn't mean I want to DO it with my pillow.
You ever hear of that one otaku guy who married his pillow?
Like, actually married his pillow. They really do that.
While we're on VA's...
the other Japanese voice actor I cannot stand is Paku Romi.
They always get her for the role of a teenage boy, and her voice makes
me lose my appetite. That was one of the things I didn't like about watching
Bleach in Japanese. Since they would spam Hitsugaya, I'd always have to
hear that voice. It's cool if you like her, but I can't stand that voice.
I'll agree with you there. I can't think of any Male English VA's I don't like.
Most are not bad, or really good.
But none... are Freeman!
Anyway, I'm glad we could talk again.
I think I may have overdone it with my message, but eh...
Wouldn't be the first time, right? :3
I can't wait until I get the e-mail from MAL.
"Dear Shadow2790x,
stop it.
Thanks,
MAL"
And forget regular tea... iced tea all the way, baby!
(is also not sophisticated enough for tea)
As you saw, I took somewhat of a break from here.
I haven't really had problems IRL or anything...
It's more... I've not been much into anime recently.
Not only have recent seasons sucked, but I-... I just can't stand the fans.
I'll get into that a bit more, soon enough.
As a matter of fact... I've been getting into Marvel and DC stuff.
It's like... some sort of reverse-weeaboo thing.
I also got rid of my iPhone, and got a better phone.
One that wasn't made by Apple... and IIII'm lovin' it!
But before I start going on about my stuff, did you say meltdown?
That doesn't sound very good. Has the DRAMA gotten that bad?
Feel free to touch upon that, if you feel like it.
Woah boy!
Yeah... it's hard not to notice. I wondered the same thing.
I haven't beaten the game... (my data was wiped clean, so...)
but I made it far enough to say that it's always like that.
I have no experience with that accent, and I feel like I can do a better job.
Anyway, if you beat the game, let me know how you liked it.
I don't think I'll try beating that game, for a while.
Ah... anime. Well that's good.
Even with all of that crap going on, you still made time. That's DEDICATION.
Speaking of weeaboos, I'm sure you heard about that earthquake in Japan.
Now... that's a bad thing, but it's related to weeaboos.
Everywhere I go, is a bunch of people saying how OMG JAPAN, NOOO!
and WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, NO MORE ANIME!??
It's a shame what happened, but damn these people.
Let's be honest, if it were some other country or area,
most of these people wouldn't be making such a big deal.
I know I'm being a bit critical, but seriously... I wish I can tell these people
"The only reason you give a damn, is because it's glorious nippon."
Anyway, yeah... part of the reason I feel like I'm not much into anime these days,
is because of the quality of shows.
It's been like that recently. There are like 2 or 3 good shows a year.
Like, GOOD good... not just "alright" good.
Kaiji season 2?
God, I forgot all about that. I'll keep an open eye out for that.
I wanted to read the manga, but nothing really came from that. heh.
Anyway, it's good talking to you again.
I haven't started with the college adventure yet, because the 101 classes
don't start until the fall... so, I guess I just need to stall for time.
I wouldn't say I quit using the site, more like... had less reason to use it.
(And yes, damn this lag)
I bought a game called Demon's Souls for the PS3, and good god I love it.
It may be the best game I've played in a long time.
The game is the opposite of casual. It can be pretty difficult, but not impossible.
Basically, the game doesn't hold your hand and it rewards patience.
It's so great, it's getting a spiritual sequel for the PS3 and 360 this year.
(Demon's Souls is a PS3-only title.)
I can get more into detail with Demon's Souls, next time.
Moving on, I bought MvC3!
...
And then sold it, not even a week later!
It was the Collector's Edition, so I made a profit from it.
It's not a terrible game... it was just... so lacking.
I can get more into that, if you'd like.
And thanks.
Better a month late, than never. It's the thought that counts, right?
Don't worry about the typing length and whatnot. I'm like that, too.
If we're wrong in what we do, I don't wanna be right!
It's really good to hear that.
You're really like the only person who agrees with me on the Jun thing.
Everyone else is like "He's not that bad."
"Not that bad"? Get the hell outta here!
I don't really mind her spoken voice.
I mean, it's really not that bad! I just can't stand when she yells.
At that point, it doesn't even sound like a boy/male teenager,
it sounds like... animal abuse or something. >_>
But that's just my opinion!
If you like her, or got used to her, then by all means... I respect that.
Caitlin Glass... Caitlin Glass...
I need to look her up. I know the name, but don't remember any roles.
I'll erm... get back to you on that, lol.
Anyway, it was fun talking again.
MAL servers were probably jumping for joy when we took that break.
Oh, well. Time to SUCK IT UP, MAL.
I guess I'm about done for now. Take care, I'll talk to you later!
It's cool. And thanks, I appreciate that!
I didn't really get to do anything special, but eh... no big deal. Relaxation is always nice.
Not that it's any of my business, but do you have a New Year's tradition of some sort?
As I've said before, I wish you the best for the new year...
and I would also like for our long chats to continue. :-)
Other people's chats... they're small time. But you and I, we don't mess around!
The one really crappy thing about switching pics/avatars/last airbenders
is that sometimes I'll have a hard time choosing between pictures, because they all look cool!
So, I'll sit there for a bit, and I guess long story short... it's always a process. ~_^
Your Rei pics are always very nice, too. Do you suffer from a problem similar to mine? lol
Let me start off by saying:
You have put my e-peen to shame.
In all seriousness, just as you say, I don't mind lots of text.
I know some people might not appreciate lots of text, but I kinda enjoy it. It sort of feels like, it's more "genuine" of a conversation.
You know? It's not just simple things, it's getting in depth... and yeah. >_>
I became interested in the idea of College, because...
Well, it sort of just came to me. If I were to try and find a job,
I feel like, I would have much more of an advantage with a degree of some sort.
And hey, maybe a nearby College has something I'm interested in.
My problem in high school was, I hated it.
I fooled around with friends too much, didn't do a lot of my work...
I guess I just didn't take it seriously.
If I were to take some classes at a college, it's not 7-8 hours a day,
it's not every day,
and you don't have to deal with subjects you hate.
Don't like math? No problem. Don't like Science? No es problema!
I actually found a few nearby colleges, I think one of them even has
a Japanese class. The weeaboo-ish plot thickens!
Either way, they are going to start the 103 & 104 classes next semester...
So, I'd have to wait until the next Fall semester for 101 & 102 classes... Hmm.
I've had the old PS3 for about two years, or so.
After thinking about it, two years isn't all too bad.
I've heard people saying things like, "My PS3 broke down after a few months!" So I guess it could have been a lot worse.
And as for 2011... it should be an interesting year.
Big name games coming out... like: Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Final Fantasy versus 13, Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, Killzone 3, InFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Twisted Metal, Dead Space 2 (it's a survival horror game IN SPACE), and many more!
I think there are even a few jRPGs coming out, too...
Like, "Hyperdimension Neptunia." It's characters and settings are basically parodies of game consoles and such.
Example? It's a female cast, featuring characters based off the PS3, 360, Wii, and Sega Neptune (which never really came to be).
They made the Wii character a loli... lol.
Anyway, I'll probably end up getting it, because these days,
there aren't that many great jRPGs that we get.
In fact, I'll even say... WPRG's these days, are of much higher quality than the JRPG's being pumped out.
PS3 is finally getting Mass Effect (2), and I played the demo.
It plays like a 3rd Person Shooter, but the conversations are similar to a visual novel, and you get stats and level ups.
I may even get the game. Who knows?
And while we're talking about 2011...
You may already know, but in Spring 2011, the new Gintama anime is supposed to start being aired.
It's supposed to be a direct continuation.
A friend of mine showed me a page from the manga, and wow...
without saying too much, all I will say is, get ready to see Gintama in a whole new light... except for Shinpachi... he's always the same.
This is like some J.C. Staff shit (emphasis on "shit", being J.C. Staff), but...
*dun dun dun*
Sleep schedule back on track again!
Let's see how long before it gets ruined again...
It really is amazing how this has turned into a game.
I guess... it can't be helped.
Thank you, Thank you.
I also have a very hard time putting up with Tsunderes.
I think out of all the overdone clichés out there... that one is the worst.
They're just unpleasant, most of the time.
And if you ever decide to watch the "My Sister..." show,
just be prepared to have your feelings screwed with, while watching.
And prepare for a ton of "J.C. Staff quality" forced drama.
It's not actually J.C. Staff, but it may as well be.
Kuroneko is always nice, though. And yeah, I think everyone out there feels bad for neighbor girl. (Her name might be... Minami, or something, not gonna cheat this time.)
And yes, oh boy!
Toradora...
After thinking about the points you've presented, I have to agree with most of 'em.
And dear god... I am serious when I say that Minori gets me vote for worst character in an anime, ever.
Think of it like this...
Someone gives you a nice-looking piece of candy.
You take a bite of the candy, and it tastes great!
You start thinking, "Wow, such great candy. What could go wrong?"
-Suddenly! Bam!
You get hit with this... disgusting aftertaste...
that pretty much ruins the candy, and you don't want to have anything to do with that candy, again.
That's basically Minori, right there.
And I agree. Vanilla Salt was a nice ending song...
I always liked how towards the end, the characters would still be talking, and the song starts up... but quietly... Then the song fully kicks in.
And I thought Silky Love was a better opening song than Pre-Parade.
And that Christmas episode, god, what a depressing episode.
Maybe... we should stop talking about Toradora? Heh heh.
I now pronounce you...
Able to tell what sounds like shit, and what doesn't!
There you go. Marry me, and we can live in a world without Tsunderes and Fukuyama all over the place. You have to admit, it doesn't sound so bad.
Back on the actual subject...
I feel the same way. Except, you said it in a much nicer way.
I usually say, "He sounds like he has shit in his mouth."
Your way is probably the more... professional way to go about it.
It's not that I hate the guy, I just think he's not very talented.
Fallout:
It's really no problem to try and explain these things.
But but but, I guess I have to say. Even though it has many RPG-like features,
it is also very similar to an FPS... but not... >_>
The controls are extremely reminiscent of an FPS.
It's not like Call of Duty or something... it's more slow.
(But the "slowness" is actually kind of nice. That's why it feels more like an RPG)
You can also "craft" (at a workbench) things like weapons, ammo, etc.
I guess, the best thing you can do is:
Try the game out for yourself (It may have already dropped in price)
or, check out some videos, or video reviews.
If you like open world-type adventures, it's very fun.
The DLC's for Fallout are great though.
It's not just some hidden area on the map, it's like a whole new game.
I'll touch upon that more, later.
The 360 already got the first DLC, and since Micro$oft has to have everything first,
the PS3 and PC (irony), will have to wait a bit longer.
Au revoir~
Anyway, it's always nice chatting it away with you.
It's slightly late, but I hope you had a nice Christmas.
And it looks like the new year is right around the corner.
So, if we don't talk before then, I wish you the best 2011.
I heard about Liar Game, pretty much because of Death Note.
I probably won't get around to reading it for a while, too...
But how about we just agree that, if one of us starts reading it,
we let the other know how enjoyable it is, so far?
And with that, I'll talk to you later. Have a nice day! ~_^
Jibun woooooo~
Okay, I won't mess around this time.
Alright, maybe a little ^_^
Okay, I think I got it out of my system.
I haven't watched any EVA yet... but I still want to.
I also want to watch Gurren Lagann. But... it's complicated.
I have a problem, where I won't really want to watch anime unless if it's in high quality.
When someone gets an anime DVD, and rips the episodes for us to download somewhere... For (newer) widescreen shows,
There's still a noticeable loss of quality. The next best thing is to have the actual DVD's.
(Since TTGL doesn't have a Blu-ray release, I'm sure it'd be sweet, though)
(Blu-ray rips don't have such a huge loss in picture quality)
I'd like to see it in English, because I love the cast.
But I don't really have the extra cash for the box set as of now,
so it looks like I've run into a brick wall.
Also, I wish I didn't get spoiled on two (TTGL) character deaths.
I've managed to avoid EVA spoilers for the longest, but TTGL is apparently a different story. Sigh...
I'm truly sorry for taking 1232923732 years to respond.
But recently, shit's getting real!
I'm thinking of studying at a College soon... and my PS3 broke down on me!
Now, the PS3 problem has been fixed... sort of.
I made a deal with my dad, and I bought another PS3.
It's refurbished, and I got coverage for 3 years. (!!)
It's still an older model, like my original... except now, I lost my PS2 backwards-compatibility. Oh well...
I'm pretty much tapped out for money at the moment, but at least I got my PS3.
The one thing that sucks, is that 2011 is looking to be a great year for games.
Like... sequels, revamps... you name it.
There's even a jRPG that I have my eye on... among other things.
But I know you don't want me to sit here and type an essay on the PS3. (Or would you? O_o)
So, please forgive me, my friend...
It is true that when we last spoke, I fixed my sleeping schedule.
But guess what...???
That's right! Back to being all screwed-up like usual.
Back to the drawing board... I'll find a way to fix this.
And of course... this also means.... I'm able to drink caffeine stuff again. Yay! (Yay, right? >_>)
I'm basically caught up with My Little Sister Can't Possibly Have Such a Long Ass Name for a Show.
I don't really know what to say about it...
It has it's GOODSU and it's BADSU. For one, if you don't like Tsunderes, you'll be annoyed most of the time.
The character Kuroneko is... in my opinion, the best part of the show.
And most people who like her, will talk about how they love dat voice.
Because of this character, I now remember the name Kana Hanazawa.
To my surprise, she is in many more things than I thought. Who'd have thunk it?
Anyway, forced drama aside, it's pretty entertaining.
Though, as far as an (actual) ending is concerned... it's somewhat complicated.
But I'll only go into that, if you are curious.
Speaking of forced drama... I finished Toradora!
I won't go all into super tiny details about what I thought of it,
but I will say that I don't know how to feel about this show, either. >__>
Call me weird, but the only character I legitimately liked, was Ryuji.
Ami wasn't such a bad character either... towards the end.
Minori gets me vote for worst character ever.
And Taiga.... ... ...
So, what did you think of the show?
While the show had lots of problems for me, I guess I enjoyed it... maybe.
Part of me feels like it wasn't worth watching... so ... I don't even know.
What did you think of it? I don't mind if you absolutely hated it,
as I'd still value your thoughts, either way.
That whole "job" thing didn't pan out, by the way. lol
The guy was good at his job, wanted to quit... so they gave him a raise to stay.
He was making about 12 dollars an hour... yet, that didn't stop him from quitting.
At that point, I was like... "Okay... moving on..."
Eh...
Oh, yeah. The guy... I believe his name is something Nakamura...
Alright I'm gonna cheat...
Yuuichi Nakamura. (I got half of it right >_>)
But I agree, he has a pretty cool voice. He actually voices a character in BlazBlue, too. (The guy in my profile pic)
I'd also like to see him in more roles. As well as Tetsuya Kakihara.
(Who coincidentally... also voices a main character from BlazBlue)
ಠ_ಠ Wait wait wait!
Hold the phone!
Did you just say Jun Fukuyama has a terrible voice?
As a friend... I don't know how to put this... but...
...
...Marry me?
But really though, I've finally found a person who feels how I do.
Every time I bring this up to anyone, they star telling me that I have some kind of problem
and that he has "a badass voice." Yeah, I'm the crazy one...
I think he overdoes all of his roles, and he just tries too hard.
I just... couldn't watch Code Geass in Japanese...
I heard JYBosch as Lelouch and I felt like all hope wasn't lost.
That may sound kind of harsh, but that's how I feel... it can't be helped.
As for Mamoru, I don't hate him... but I think he's very overrated.
He got cast for popular roles, like... oh, I don't know... Light Yagami,
and all of a sudden he's "amazing." I'll take my main man Brad Swaile, anyday.
But perhaps, I should move on. ~_^
Yes yes yes! Let me know if you ever get around to playing LoD.
I lent my copy out, and I'm regretting it! I just may ask for it back already,
I get the feeling that the guy hasn't even touched the damn game...
Either way, it's replaceable, I suppose. I mean, if I can replace a PS3, I damn well better be able to replace a PS1 game.
I remember all of the fuss about XIII.
I bought it the day it came out, and it's not a bad game.
Now, here's the best part: Since my old PS3 died out on me,
I lost all of my savedata. I put a lot of hours into that game, and... well.. :/
I haven't played XII, but a friend of mine said he regretted buying it on launch. >_>
So, I don't know exactly what route to take from here.
I'd like to complete the game, but now I have to go through all of that old stuff again.
And with CV... yes, if anything... I'd say Aria of Sorrow is my favorite one.
If you get a chance to play that one, or the DS games, it's worth a shot.
There are 3 CV DS games to choose from, and they are all different in their own way.
And as far as Fallout is concerned... I'd say, it's a "love it or hate it" type of game.
It depends on lots of things. If you're someone who is very used to JRPG's,
then, it will definitely feel a bit different. Instead of sticking you in the middle of a situation and laying out a path for you (JRPG),
you basically choose your own destiny. You build relationships and reputations,
with people or whole towns, and depending on your relationship with them,
certain things change.
What do I mean by this?
Let's say, you go to a shop to buy some stuff.
Now, after you go in there store, you change your mind about buying something,
and instead, you want to rob him. You can do that.
If you successfully rob him again and again, he may go out of business and close up the shop, forever. You can even kill the guy if you want. And when he's dead, he's dead... no reviving for him.
Long story short, everything you do can have it's consequences.
You can dress up like a certain group in the game, but if someone from a rival group
sees you, he may start shooting at you without warning.
But if you were to walk up to the guy with different stuff on, then
you can actually talk to him and whatnot.
If you kill innocent people, then other people will hear of it,
thus damaging your reputation. OR, you can be a bad guy,
and then, killing innocent people will be helping the cause.
There you go. ~_^
Kombat:
Basic combat is not like a cookie-cutter JRPG.
The game is in first person. (Though, you can change the view to 3rd person, if you'd like)
And if anything... plays similar to an FPS.
I wouldn't flat-out call it an FPS, because you don't have to use guns.
You can use your bare fists (which is ironically, broken as hell),
Guns, Energy weapons, or melee weapons.
You get stats for basically everything. You can do things like
lockpick safes and chests for items, hack computer terminals, make your own medicines, bullets,
and lots of other neat stuff.
That's regular combat... there's a different method of combat in
the game, that is referred to VATS. And in VATS, it actually plays similarly to a classic RPG fight... sort of. But seeing as how I typed up a typhoon and well... a shitload of stuff on the game, I'll stop there.
Option-wise, it's a pretty deep game, I'll end it with that!
*cue the music*
The End (?):
Sorry if I went overboard on the text.
Looks like I had a lot to say, this time. Heh.
And remember, if ever I take this long to respond, it's nothing personal.
Like I said before, shit's getting real!
But, if I know you well enough from these chats, I'm sure you already understand.
I'm thinking about watching another series... but I can't decide.
I'm sure I'll figure something out. There was one thing I felt like watching, because I'm curious...
I couldn't help but notice that you want to read Liar Game.
If you get to reading it before I do, let me know what you think!
Eh, either way. I'll cut this short (if that's even possible at this point).
I'll talk to you later, have a nice day!
Don't read this...
Didn't I tell you not to read this? :O
Okay... you asked for it...
I never watched Evangelion, and I'm kind of curious about it.
I keep hearing that it's amazing, so I kind of want to see it....
