History: My childhood consisted of only a few things: friends, playing backyard sports with friends past curfew, teenage mutant ninja turtles, Voltron, Nintendo and The Legend of Zelda. It was pretty fun now that I think about it. Then somewhere in between that, Rurouni Kenshin came into my life and paved the way for anime to take it over. Then before I knew what happened, I kind of had to go to college and figure out what the hell I wanted to do in my life. Somehow, I came up with the conclusion I wanted to get a ph.d., find the cure for cancer and save the world. I figure I need to take that one step at a time.
Current Game: The Last Remnant (Xbox 360)
Sports: I'm a pretty avid sports fan, as I follow football (NFL), basketball, hockey, baseball and college football and basketball seasons pretty closely. So if you ever want to have a discussion about anything that has to do with sports, feel free to post a comment. I'll totally debate with you how utterly stupid the BCS system is in college football.

I'm totally looking forward to the movie for Higashi~~ Even though, honestly, I think the series tied things up pretty well. Sure there were loose ends, but I've seen a lot worse endings before.
Yay for Umineko~ The first episode was pretty awesome, but then I'm a fangirl, so yeah. lol Too many character introductions, though. @_@ Still, I have high hopes. :D

Read One Piece; absolutely loved it. How does Fairy Tail compare? The main character doesn't seem to have any lofty goals like Luffy so I don't know if I'll like it as much. Should I read it if I liked One Piece though?
Also, is Fully Metal Panic! Overload, something I should read if I've watched all 3 seasons of the anime and want more? Or does the "Full Metal Panic!" manga go farther than the final season of the anime?

ok so i do admit that the books are usually around the 300-400 pages mark. paperback novels. the usual size.
if i am going to read a large book like "Acheron" which is 728 pages it took me 10 hours. once i start reading though, god help he who disturbs me! LOL
usually romance and fantasy, supernatural etc. i like romance because they all have happy endings. in my life i am in need of the illusion of some happy endings. so i make no apologies for being the typical girl who reads romance. (although everyone harasses me about it) lol
my movies are a big part of my life.i own around 4000 and counting....vhs, dvd and Beta (although no one knows what a Beta is any more)
Traveling is my secret wish that i hope to have fulfilled one day soon. as soon as i am able. New york, Paris, Italy,, UK, Ireland...etc so i really do get where you are coming from.
TV - well i guess i live on the space channel...that and TCM for my classic movies. i love Castle, Heroes, NCIS, Bones, Grey's Anatomy, and then alot of sci-fi action junk that makes my sisters think i am crazy...add to that the anime and cartoons,,,,well i am up for a white jacket with long sleeves that tie up in the back (as far as they are concerned) LOL
my dad nad i loved watch tv together, i love the typical guy shows that he did.

and yes i love to write. i have poetry as my escape route. i love Shakespeare and have a really bad habit of reading up to 5 books a day. i stop at five though because it really pisses my mom and sisters off when i have not left my room all day. LOL
i have written a few short stories. poetry, scripts. plays. TV drama that fox was intersted in once...never went through.
what about you? movies??? TV?? any other passions?

LOL trying really hard with the background thing,,,,,i admit to some difficulty, but i was never one to give up so i will get it just right. LOL
I have heard of roswell Park. my dad was going to go to buffalo for an experimental treatment that he couldn't get up here. although he tried everything else. he did an amazing job.
in spring 2005 he was diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma and adimo carcinoma. they had never seen one person with both strands at the same time before. they looked thorugh all the cancer databases and couldn't find anyone who had them at the same time. so they made up a treatment from scratch. they just never told us that he only had a month to live. they said they never wanted to worry us.
but he made it through 3 and a half years. he completely beat both cancers. cured himself except for a few lesions on his liver. he died of liver failure..they had refused to take out the liver, they said it wouldn't help. when he died the doctors and nurses cried more than i did. they said they had never seen anything like it. noone had ever come as far or worked as hard..always with a smile on his face.
he was my hero. he was going to be in buffalo for the week that he died. maybe if he had made it...i don;t know. lol i guess i talk to much...sorry!
anyways i go to University of Guelph. I am an Honours Bachelor of Arts English Major and Theater Minor. I work in high end Jewellery Part Time. and read wayyyyyy too much on my days off. movies nad books are my weakness.

aloha! i saw ya on the ffxiv forum thinger and thought id say hello! first off youre awseome for wanting to find a cure for cancer. im an avid patron of saving the boobies. (also known as finding a cure for breast cancer.)
second youre awsome for mentioning teenage mutant ninja turtles. i was (and still am to a certain degree) obsessed with them.
