Oye there are only 7 chapters. The 8th is apparently a one shot, which I don't know will be scanlated or not.
So when you say you gave Vampire Knight high marks coz of your obsession with vampire stories, you forgot to mention what you actaually thought of the characters and storylines. Oh well, I bet you couldnt possibly be as dismayed about it as I was.
Groan dont ask me about mainstream shounen like Naruto! That is one heck of an overblown and bloated show. I don't watch it simply coz it's so damn popular. Reverse backlash I think! I don't know. I like my shoujo and I like martial arts and stuff like that, but in moderation, like I liked it in Samurai Champloo, but Naruto I havent even watched mostly coz I understand how repetetive and SHOUNEN it can get after a while. Others are welcome to it, but I know what I like, why bother switching or experimenting? Maybe someday... MAYBE. But for now, I detest Naruto!
Oh, but please do let me know about good romance harem anime/manga with good art and non annoying characters.
Hmm, I MAY see Karin, I've been off shoujo manga for a while now, which means I've stopped basically reading manga, coz no other kind appeals to me anyway.
Vampire Knight was RIDICULOUS, I've only read the last 2 or 3 chapters of the manga, coz I started with the anime (rare in my case, but it was TOO popular in the shoujo romance genre to miss) and boy was that a mistake. While I admit I liked the OP and END songs, the matter in the middle was absolute nonsensical crap, like one second a boy is talking to a girl, the next a rat is stuck on a balloon flying over a river and then the rat dreams about that boy stabbing that girl.... ABSOLUTE unrelated things!
I dunno, maybe I'm not the right demographic, they could have done something very awesome with the graphics, I will admit both Kaname and Zero are drawn as very attractive, rip-his-clothes-off characters, but I didn't like certain characteristics in all three characters, dunno if it was more childish or just unagreeable, all I know is that I was VERY put off the moment I finished episode 13 of Guilty. I'd done nothing but sat through 2 days of a marathon VK session in hopes of getting a new obsession, but the storyline is very odd.
Death Note I've heard from my good college friend that it's some super stuff, so I will be reading and watching it when time permits. Fo sho!
Ahh, but Boku wa kisu last two chapters are out since yesterday on Nagareboshi. I recommend going there and posting 15 comments and getting access, or you can ask me for the links. ~_^ I'd already seen the raws and read chapters descriptions, but it was a very LOVELY story. I wish it could have gone on and on!! Toma Rei is one gifted artist!
Also, if you havent yet, read Sukitte Ii na yo. You'll not regret it. Barely 4 chaps are out right now, I pray everyday for more!!! It's by Hazuki Kanae and everything including the art is nice and catchy, and completely unconventional.
You're very welcome. I liked that bit too. It annoys me sometimes in how Hikari is portrayed as being pigheaded. I mean we get it, you're strong. But it's OBVIOUS you don't CRUSH rice into powder! You dont perforate all the paper that you write on do you, so you know how to control your strength. Good, just use the same normal amount of pressure on washing rice for chris sake!
I was quite sad to see SA manga end with chapter 99, but I can understand how lots of fans were getting tired of convoluted never ending plotlines with secondary characters.
Hello hello! I see you love reverse harem (what's not to love?!). Seeing as you already have the best RH title there is, Boku wa kisu..., I would totally also recommend Iya x Shite by Asami Miyabi. You've already read His body temperature...by her and it's one of my all time favourite shoujos!
Also I'm sure you would love Kiss/Hug by Mitsuki Kako as well as Koi Hirari by Mitsuki Miko.
PS my favourite part about Special A is those hairless little stick figures Maki makes which perform extreme actions! They are hilarious! In one chapter, when Hikari is trying to outdo Kei when finding Jun, she leaps onto a boat an is shown in motion by that stick figure. That sequence makes me laugh so hard I fall over every time!
