The Japanese dub has weird Engrish and even when it doesn't, the dub was rewritten a little to be more natural. for example, in the first episode Jap version the subs at one point say "Take that, war junkies!", whereas in the english version it says "take that, cocksuckers!". Normally the english version isn't better, but black lagoon is an exception.
