Ah I haven't been writing much lately but I want to get back into it! I might do a review of Tamako Market, or perhaps GJ-Bu seeing as I found it much more hilarious that it appeared at first. We'll see.

OK cool, I'm not a big sci-fi guy but I feel compelled to give LotGH a go anway just to see if it sucks me in. After all people say it's pretty damn good. And make sure you stick with NHK! It has an very good ending. And yep, there's a little bit of Satau in just about everyone of us which makes the whole thing feel pretty real even if you aren't socially... challenged. Heh.

I can't say i'm too excited for much coming up either but there's always the never-ending backlog

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed my review of K. I read your review as well; the cake analogy was pretty sweet (puns, puns everywhere). Though, to be honest, it was probably 3/4ths review and 1/4th rant. It saddens me that people don't actually understand that the "Helpful/Not Helpful" buttons actually mean helpful/not helpful and not "Agree/Disagree" or "I like this anime/I hate this anime" though.

I prefer thousand times watch something like KissxSis instead of THAT. I really enjoy slice of life because this 'the world is ending' thingy isnt showing.

i mean, waddafawk anyway why does people like it so much, when people mention it I just can think of CLICHE ALL OVER. Im so tired of fucking cliche. (Sorry Im very excited right now) In all the scenes I was supposed to cry I just sat there with a super straight face because I felt no bond to any character, at first, yes I loved Suoh but then CLICHE APPEARS and eventually started feeling nothing even if he was being tortured with a knife in his left eye or something likely, you know what I mean mostly ugghh. I ended up enjoying Kusanagi's scene more because he is NORMAL, because he doesn't mean to call out so much attention, because he is a total extra, instead of those stupid cliche-made character. IS JUST, WOW, SO CLICHE. I finished watching it today and I saw everyone a few days ago emotional because of how it end it, but I finished watching it for merely kindness to the producers and company. I'm a nice gurl you know. But... anyway, wow, so long this shit I wrote hahaha. I just had to... communicate my feelings about 'this' someway.
I dont even know where anime's plot originality is going nowadays... I don't know.

Your K review is wrong. I can see your comparing K to a cake, but I don't think you saw what's the meaning behind a cake in the first place.
The mass people nowadays look at the consequences, not the intentions. Going with your cake comparison, suppose the decoration on the cake is indeed very pretty to look at and the inside is not good tasting, have you thought why the icings are made to be pretty if it's handmade by a beginner? A cake is made with the intention to make someone happy, and the icing is the most obvious way to show how much you want the cake to be good. It may be just a trick, but I hope you consider the intention behind that trick more.
Afterwards, you'll find the cake more meaningful and more deep in flavor, even if it's not your favorite cake from a bakery or restaurant

Shiro's smile is like that icing on the cake, made especially to make others happy even if he himself isn't. I hope you see why he is trying so hard to always smile.
Mikoto is like the inside of that cake. He doesn't taste good, but for sure not lacking flavor. He absorbed everything, even the bad flavors. You need to understand the complex psychology behind Mikoto and Shiro before judging the cake.
