Oh boy for me it was hard to really understand the last conversation even. I was really confused at the end actually. As I was expecting something completely different. Yea I hope that too, he started off way to different as the vanilla type and it'll be unnatural if he went that route. I really want to get into the light novels after translations.

I haven't read alot of manga but I still think that it was pretty good until the final few chapters. His old friends were never really shown again except for that one scene and I would've hope if they at least talked or made up instead of just a scene. Honestly the ending didn't bother me too much, not that I expected any confessions as such seeing how bashful they both were. Still I found the plot and characters to be really interesting.

I dunno but after reading Koe no Katachi, even though Spice and Wolf (anime) also doesn't have a proper epilogue I didn't take it that bad. You should really check out it out, but maybe since you wanted a better closure on Katachi then Spice and wolf might not have a great ending, but I still think it was a really nice watch with it's blend of romance and economics.

Ps: you should play some vn's on steam.
