This isn't going to be your regular happy anime with the MC fighting and surviving on friendship magic. nope, the MC's (who are typical meek and introverted folks) are about it enter a whole new world right in front of them, whether they want to or not, and it's bloody, full of carnage, with little to no forgiveness. not recommended for new anime fans or people weak to possible gore. I'd also like to point out that Parasyte came in the 80's and tokyo ghoul being fairly new. their extremely similar. the only difference which will bring out arguments of which is better is how the studio's animated it...if they did at all. a lot of the stuff that happens can happen in manga, but in anime its a whole new thing.

-Both are short -Both involve a guy and a girl to which they are close (take that as you will) -if you were to take their relationship as a manzai routine, one of them is the tsukkomi(stright man), and the other is the boke (idiot) -both are very cute and enjoyable to watch, especially as an in between from serious anime -both have an OVA -both definitely should get more episodes

-annoying girl bothers the MC constantly and berates him when he's in contact with other girls -futuristic fantasy setting -every other girl is more interesting the MC girl -magic and technology meet -MC has lots of bad luck(?) -visually they looked the same or are very similar -if all else fails, wait for the MC to get "personally" angry though Index>Strike the Blood

Golden Time
add

-Both were aired at the same time -Both heavily focused on romance and drama, with a touch of fantasy for NnA. -shippers would actually have a bit of a hard time discerning who their favorite pair is -both are set (not focused) in schools Now this is where its different. you got a group of adults and a group of kids, but both groups have problems that are opposite of their age group. the "adults" are wishy-washy, cry a lot, and have problems kids could take care of. The "kids" on the other hand are way mature, actually have more sense to their thoughts and actions, and have more solid personalities, not something flaky like the salt flake snow.

both involve resurrecting someone from the dead to put them to use.l both are not that great of an anime (though the OVA for Princess Resurrection was stunning!) the MC's are wimpy, but they try to change that freaks of nature all around them. both of MC's are the targets of MANY thing, good & bad involves undead, zombies, basically the whole occult package. if you REALLY have nothing to do, or you need one of those "break" anime to prepare yourself for actual good ones, than this is for you

both are WAYYYY too similar. -both MC's are delinquent-type characters and are treated as such. their personalities are similar as well. quite likable MC's. -both have to deal with a number of messed in the head type girls -both are the tsukkomi (straight man) while almost literally everyone else is a boke (idiot) -the female MC is probably the most weirdest and dangerous out of all the other girls (in many different ways~) -both have a tsundere that ACTUALLY a tsundere, not a b----, so their actually quite likable, and I think their the fan favourites as well. -you will laugh, a lot actually when you read this.

VERY dynamic character designs. both are....underrated? the worlds they go to have a different way of handling conflicts, or rather...wars. both somehow feel like their referencing Touhou.

-both are heavily comedic and break the 4th wall like there's no tomorrow. they don't take themselves seriously, and neither should you when you watch these. just sit down, relax, and don't drink while watching. -both involve one character really wanting to kill another character. -you won't be able to take the bad guy's seriously. -good sets of OP and i think even ED's. -there are some REALLY weird characters in both of them. both MC's have the same type of reaction face when the WTF is strong.

Claymore

both have a virtually useless male lead with an extremely awesome female swordsman counterpart. there's lots of blood and fighting. while claymore is set in a somewhat medieval setting, fate stay/night is like taking that stuff and putting it into a modern setting. there's a lot of swords.

the main cast are a trio who are in a love triangle ans shit happens between them, so they both fight at some point. both main guys move to a new location where the other 2 were already are. takuto and kida are voiced by the same guy. izaya=head because they act the same most of the time. both trio's in each anime all have different powers unlike each others or the rest. there's a girl in both animes that have "unpleasant" fantasies between the 2 guys...

both main guys go into another "world" so their basically outsiders but they manage to make friends and stuff both main guys are voiced by the same dude (who btw is awesome) both guys are very flashy and artistic and already know some moves before coming to the "anime" both have a lot of female leads behind them. both have shounen battles both main female leads are of high status and can't leave where they are so easily. their's colourful hair everywhere in both animes. there's little to no blood, but their still both mature animes.

you can't get anymore shounen then these 2 they main characters are exactly alike, their both baka's to the extreme yet they somehow make everyone like them. they also has big plans when they were little and their trying to fulfill these dreams as we speak. their also trying to find "something" but what their looking for is different. also Nami = Lucy in almost every aspect except hair colour. their both the "straight woman" in their jokes. and chopper = Happy. cmon, their like mascots to each team. and you can't help but hug them at least once. and Robin = Erza because they both have horrible pasts and their super strong and well known. also the rivalry between natsu and grey are like zoro and sanji. competition in every aspect. and boa hancock = juvia because they both love a main character and they act the same way to their lover(?), they also think they have extreme love rivals. both have sword fighting, fist fighting, magical fighting, ect you name it.

both of these are a MUST WATCH if your a guy who's into shounen or is new to anime itself. these 2 are a favorite among shounen fans both have a lot of action, comedy and epic characters both have that punk/emo/sasuke-like character that the girls love [kanda=hibari] (seriously that character it mostly the reason girls watch these, lol) both have another character that's OPPOSITE to the above people [Lavi=Yamamoto] both main characters are born with their power, and that power is unique among many. both are over 100+ episodes both main guys have a teacher they hate both of them want to help out everyone (cliche in anime, rare in real life) both have a variety of different weapons used by the MC's and enemies (main characters) both MC get a power-up/awakening both have SUPER-MEGA-AWESOME OPENINGS!!! but most of all, both fans of these shows DEMAND A SEASON TWO!! that's how good they are like the recommendations always say: if you like one, your sure to like the other.

their both the 4th movie for their respective titles. their both set in an alternate realm only the main character and a handful of his friends are involved. both have to do with saving a girl. the only difference was that the bleach movie was actually REALLY good and well done, unlike naruto's.

Hunter x Hunter
add

if you like Naruto than you should know that more than half the stuff in it was already taken from hunter x hunter. the most obvious is the fact that a clan of "red-eyed" people were slaughtered because of their red-eyes. thee's also the fact that there's a survivor that's bent on getting revenge and will do anything to succeed. remind you of someone?.... other than that "idea" both main characters grew up without their parents. both their dad's are great people. both "act" rather than "think" they both have a 4 main character squad (team 7 with kakashi, and than Gon's team) both have an exam at the beginning. both have an antagonist group that's bent on destroying the world or something related (akatsuki = the spiders) and the "red-eyes" want to find this group. both have some sort of chakra/ki/energy related stuff that they learn both have shounen battles and tournaments. both have something ridiculous with them (Naruto wearing a bright orange jumpsuit while he's a ninja, and Gon fighting with a fishing rod) yet somehow their able to work with it.
