I'm a student currently working towards a B.S. in Computer Science. I've been into anime since getting into Dragonball Z in the 90's, then pretty much every other series that got aired on Cartoon Network since it was the only channel I had that broadcast it.
Much like many others I got fanatical about Pokemon, but was never able to watch much of the series because we didn't have the channel it came on, but I did get into the Digimon series.
After Dragonball Z went to GT, I started losing interest, and didn't watch as much of any anime. Adult Swim provided me with some, but I just wasn't getting into the anime at the time that my friends were into.
Recently I sort of "rediscovered" my love for anime, and I've been devouring any and all I can get my hands on. One of my favorite things is to find really obscure or rare anime, but I enjoy mainstream stuff as well. There really isn't much I don't like.

Yea, I really enjoyed it, the whole concept was good and interesting to read. I liked the ending but I kind of wanted them to continue it, thought they stopped it a bit abruptly.

Hey, its going good, were doing fine. I really havnt been watching too many anime shows but i did read a pretty good manga recently. its called "liar Game." Its kind of a psychological mystery manga that i think you'd like. Its got like 140 chapters out so far so the story . I watched this show called Gintama a while back and i really enjoyed it. Its a comedy parody show. You should check it out. It might be a different flavor of humor for you but you should look at it. The first season is 201 episodes and they recently started it up again. The makers were letting the manga catch up for a year or so. Which i was glad they did instead of make a bunch of filler episodes. Also you should check out a show called "Durarara." Its really good and my brother enjoyed it a lot.

I saw this manga called "Shingeki no Kyojin" and it looked promising, there's only 4 chapters that have been scanned so far but its pretty interesting you should check it out when you have the chance. Also is the "Welcome to the NHK" manga have any major differences from the anime? just wondering.

Hey i've been meaning to ask you on your thoughts on Porco Rosso, and i was wondering what you think made you like it more than Miyuzaki's other films. My personal favorite is probably Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away. Because i felt like the ending to Porco Rosso was a bit depressing and didnt really conclude anything, that said i really enjoyed the atmosphere of the film. and If you cant completely put your thoughts into words dont worry i know how it is.
PS. if you go to " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_Ghibli"; and look under their "Works" at the bottom it looks like Miyuzaki is making another Porco Rosso film called "Porco Rosso: The Last Sortie.
PPS: have you looked at Goro Miyuzaki's film yet?

Yea, i saw it on animeseason.com when it came out and saw the first two episodes, il probably begin watching it again later. Btw i see you finished Samurai Champloo, that show is awesome.
i really wish onemanga would start up again :(
