Found your profile while I was looking to see how many South Dakotans were on MAL, that admit being from SD, and noticed your birthdate. If is accurate, here is a club you might want to check out.

In that case, Seto no Hanayome fit the bill. Its a slice of life, with comedy and romance. One of the most entertaining anime out there.

If you need any recommendations tell me the genre and ill let you know, but if you want to do it yourself check my list. Almost everything on there is pretty nice in its own way. If that bores you, give manga a shot, they can be just as entertaining.
