One factor to always ignore is what studio made it. I hear a lot of people saying that everything that comes from GONZO is crap. I disagree. Desert Punk, Black Cat, Kiddy Rade, Solty Rei, and Linebarrels of Iron are all anime that I love, and all of them came from studio GONZO. So how can they say nothing good comes from a certain studio, unless they actually watch it fro themselves. So don't put any stock in reviews, especially if you haven't watched the series yourself, because such reviews almost always have that person's personal opinion attached to it, not that you should never read a review. On the contrary, sometimes you can learn what a series is about better than the synopsis MAL provides.

So you like a little of everything, but nothing sticks out the most? Yea, I can understand that. I like every kind of anime genre (except for phycological & horror); all that matters to me are the characters and storyline, it doesn't matter what anime it is.
