Hi I’m Bianka. I grew up in B.C. but am now going to university in Ontario. So the general how did I start liking anime: My school was an international boarding school so we started learning Japanese in grade 4 and our sensei would always give out random sanrio erasers/pencils/tissue packets (something inherently Japanese) to the class and I immediately fell in love with all the cutesy stuff…let me tell you now I have a pink Hello Kitty Clipboard that I definitely take with my to all of my lectures (in addition to the spew of pencils/pens/glittery shiny japanese/korean things that fill my multitude of pencil cases)
My first anime was Gundam Wing…my best friend and I were bored and flipping through channels when I stumbled across it and my attention was instantly caught by the crazy Trowa hair (although my favourite is Heero!), I sat through the whole thing (she I think wondered off to the computer not being very impressed with the show)…ending song included, which is why I then how I first saw DBZ which starts right after. That was a Friday night and from then on every Friday night I taped those few eps on YTV and would watch them with my breakfast the next day.
Soon sailormoon and Pokémon came along followed by anime movies in Japanese class and soon I was fully addicted. I was constantly yelled at by my sister for slowing down the computer with all of the torrents (until I discovered sites like veoh :D) and slowly half of my birthday requests changed from clothes to manga/DVDs and other anime related paraphernalia and that is pretty much how it is today as well. I don’t buy a lot of DVDs only the few series that I really like, because I know I will watch them again. I have quite a bit of manga but my main thing is I collect keychains/pins/figures and plushies. Most of the storage space in our apartment if filled with all my anime stuff over the summer (since I come back home from university)…don’t know what I am going to do when I have to move back permanently…*freaks out*
Asides from anime I have two other obsessions – music and fashion –

it's pretty good. You just have to find someone you can identify with, as with any genre of music. I like Gackt, but I also like Namie, (she's more J-pop), Some Miyavi (some of his stuff is like metal....and i dont' like metal), i like Laruku and some Dir en Grey. But mostly I like Hyde and Gackt. I've listened to others, but a lot of J-rock is like metal and visual kei (like KISS), so most of it really doesn't appeal to me.
But if you want, you should listen to some, you might like it and you might not.
So what's Atashinchi about? Is it random like boob boobo bobo? or no (LOL!!) funny! And i need to look into the Mushishi, cuz i've never heard of it. What's it about?

Hello you! So what's your most fave anime? I just noticed that we have some anime in common, and wanted to know. I love Rurouni Kenshin, but also I have respect for anime that has martial arts like DBZ, and some mecha. what's your most fave?
And you love different types of music? Have you tried J-rock? It's nice! I like most music, and the favorite is classical, but then i found i like J-rock too. And yeah, Gackt is one of my faves.....but anyway, it's nice to meet ya!!

Yay great news about the hair.
Well school starts on the 27th of the month and I want to be back by the 23rd because all the freshmen will be on campus for the first time. haha That means one big party! haha
I don't mind the stands about back to school, it reminds me that I do need to buy a few notebooks, folders, and pencils. haha

I don't have a much of a problem with going out unless I have a jacket at a club. I try to avoid bringing a jacket on purpose so I don't have to worry about keeping track of it.
Wow, I just keep my hair short. I think I need to do something more with the style. However you hair problems right now exceed my own.
I'm getting read to go back to school this month. I'm excited and dreading it. lol

I like the new album! I actually like it more than the second album. but the first album is still my favorite. "Tears Into Wine" was a surprisingly good track.
I love Billy Talent! So when people are in my car and they hate it, I throw them out onto the street and drive away! Haha. Just kidding! I'm not that cruel.

MySoju's kind of evil. Posting fansubber's work without permission to free streaming sites, then loading up on ads and making a tidy profit because in truth their server costs are low. Then claiming no responsibility and ignoring the fansubber's requests to have their work removed. DramaCrazy does the same thing., though I applaud their effort to at least sub SOME things themselves.
If it seems like it, I'm not anti-streaming, just anti-greed. CR is awesome for doing things right, and DramaFever (which finally comes out of beta and officially launches tomorrow) is too.
I'm not too knowledgeable about kdramas since I just started watching them last year and haven't seen too many, but I'm an addict, you know? XD
... and maybe I have obsessive compulsive disorder. ^_^;;
You should add a dramalist to your profile so I can bug you with recommendations. =P
