Welcome to my profile! I hope life's treating you well.
My anime story -
I always enjoyed cartoons and animated feature films, and although I was aware of anime, I never really watched it until I rented Record of Lodoss War from a local video store about 7 years ago. I thought it was really cool. The same store had a copy of Princess Mononoke. That one blew me away and introduced me to Studio Ghibli. I then got into Yuu Yuu Hakusho for awhile. It wasn't until 2003 that I really got hooked. Twelve Kingdoms came out and I thought it looked cool, so I picked it up. Soon after that I saw Spirited Away, Samurai X- Trust and Betrayal, Noir, Witch Hunter Robin, and Rahxephon. Wow. Since then anime has become my favorite form of entertainment. The combination of great art, creativity, colors, characters, story, and music is truly amazing.
I enjoy talking about various shows and hearing different opinions about shows I've seen. So feel free to start up a conversation.
My manga story -
Now, while I love anime, I've never really been into Manga, mostly because I don't enjoy reading for entertainment. So I totally don't get any of the manga vs. anime angst. In some ways I think I'm better off being ignorant. However, if there is something awesome out there I've totally missed out on, please feel free to recommend...

favorite places - Vermont, San Francisco (North Beach), Sequoia National Park, Arizona, Carmel CA, coastal Maine, Pacific Coast Highway, Ottawa Ontario, Boston, and while I love the ocean, I hate sand, so not much of a beach fan
