Even the latest Gundam anime was said to be crap somehow. I haven't watched it yet and might not in the short future.
I say comedy forever!!
Here I watch practically every anime genres with the exception of yaoi and boys love.
Less of horror and psychological.
Most favorited are Shounen, Comedy and Ecchi. :D
One Piece, Gintama, Fairy Tail are some of my most fav anime.
Otherwise I like my slice of life/romance more with comedy like Baka to test, school rumble and kaichou wa maid sama than comedy with drama/tragedy like shuffle.
In short Comedy is like god to me cause it fits nearly most of other anime genres. :D
I love ecchi a lot too. Some of my favorite ecchi anime are Rosario vampire, Sora no Otoshimono, Kiss x Sis, Motto to love ru, B Gata H kei and HOTD not including the 2011 and recent one.

I watched Gundam Seed and 00 only. None of the previous Gundam series.
Still they were awesome and have to admit that Gundam is the leading of mecha anime.
I still have the 00 movie and newest gundam anime to watch.
Tengen toppa is a really amazing anime, that twist and story plot is well made and you get attached quick to the charas. Yoko littner still my fav.
The thing is that it's not always you get awesome mecha anime to watch unlike comedy or action which has both unlimited releases and choices.

Slice of life and Mecha. You like Code Geass I can already see. What about Gundam, Tengen toppa and others like Eureka 7 ?

Yeah, we tried to ask them to limit it to ten. Apparently it was mission failed. >_<
Top 10 would be better no matter how much you see it cause there are an unlimited amount of anime.
