Well, it's going to be like that the whole way, dude. With the weird personalities and the camera angles. But it becomes better in terms of entertainment. But there are to overly-moe episodes there, so beware and stuff.

It changes greatly fromm after the first episode. But not necessarily better.
What I think of Bakemonogatari. Well, the show focuses more on the visual aspects, and making it look unique and weird at the same time. The editing and directing is great. The characters are all unique, though Araragi (one of the maincharacters) is a little more normal than the rest. Senjougahara is the other maincharacter. She's the sole definition of tsundere (If you dont know what that is, google it. It's basically a less annoying version of moes but they dont look moe).
As I said before, they focus more on the visual, so the story is lacking. Greatly. The plot changes almost every episode. Both of the characters go around and help other people that have curses. Both of them also have curses, but the Araragi has a guy that gives tips on how to remove curses or does it himself, so he removed Araragis curse, which was becoming a vampire. While Senjougahara was weightless. It's an entertaining anime when you just want to lay back and not struggle to understand the meaning behind the whole thing. Dont get me wrong though, it's definitely not brainless, but it does play the "weird" card just to make it looks more complex than it really is.
There are 12 episodes of 15. The first 12 are actually the only ones that are going to be aired. The last three will be put on the internet. Episode 13 will come out next week. So I suggest watching it when the last episode comes out. But only watch this show if you dont have anything better to watch, or if you just dont want anything complex.
I myself with probably give bakemonogatari a 7/10 or 6/10.

I'm going to read Berserk, but I'll probably watch the anime first, then continue on with the manga.

Armored Trooper Votoms is not an anime. It's a 50 parts movie. That's the feeling I get from ATV at least. It gives me more of the feeling I get when I watch a movie than anime. So the episodes "fly away" when I watch them. Suddenl I watched 30 episodes, lol.

What kind of movies do you like generally?

It's not the violence or sex themselves that's bothersome, but the reason why they are present in the scenes that they appear in. And the reasons don't seem to be serviceable. Plus too many themes are unresolved and the film just doesn't have much depth. It's not even creepy to a remote degree. Or pleasant. I don't really want to see a woman cutting her own vagina in a film, unless it's Bergman's Cries And Whispers.
Van Sant can do better, i am a fan of Dancer in The Dark he did with Bjork.

I believe it was a pirate bay torrent.
Why shame on me, it was certainly pretty, but it felt like a cheap mix of sex scenes and torture porn, posed as a pesudo artsy tale of mysticism, with the whole mysticism element left unexplored.
