I watched a lot of anime in all sorts of genres. There are several genre I prefer like sci-fi, action, comedy, supernatural,etc. and there are some genre I tend to avoid.I also make prefer not to watch really old anime (any time from 1990 or below) but I do make some exception; only if the ratings is high (8 or above, sometime 7) and/or has an interesting plot. Currently I have a growing interested in Super Power related anime/ manga

Anime Genre I tend to avoid
school: After a long while I grew disinterested in school stuff. I find school setting to be a bit dull (with going to class, taking test, exams, club activities, socializing, etc.) In fact most of my life is pretty much revolve around school. Even now I'm in college, struggling. So since I already lived it I don't see much interest in watching it.
sports: I personally have little interested in sports. I don't really get the hype over watching a game like the others.
yaoi: I just don't feel comfortable watching two guys making out or having some romantic moments. I have nothing against gay guys. I completely support their rights as well as anyone else. Just not into that kinda stuff.
ecchi,harem(fan service stuff): I don't have anything against these genres, I watched some too. But I prefer an anime with more plot development. Plus I'm a little bored with the pansy shots. You seen it once, you seen it all!

My rating systems is sort of unfair. I mostly judge them by the sheer level of enjoyment (and satisfaction) I get out of it, hate plot holes but have some tolerance. I do take the plot, characters, setting, etc. into SOME consideration.
As for friend request; I will gladly accept just about anyone but don't expect some sort of long conversation with me (I don't communicate much, mind you)

Yeah I see we have a somewhat high anime compatibility. Your anime list is pretty big too and you have a lot in your list that I've plan to watch.
