Every review that I read said the last 30 or so episodes is filler and it got cancelled before the manga progressed enough for them to continue the real story arcs in the anime.

Which the best I can remember from when it was on TV years ago, they started re-runs after the main story arc finished, so it makes sense to me.

so I was bored and browing my manga site for stuff to read and ended up picking up k-on! somehow. turns out it's pretty entertaining. Mio is probably my new hero because loli bassist ftw.

I really enjoyed it. It was a lot better than I expected actually. I expected a standard shonen manga turned anime, but I really liked the theme, and the fact that it was a lot darker and almost macabre at points. I always like the religion aspects played into anime to see an eastern take on it, so that was a big plus.

I agree that the characters are the show. Even the demons a lot of time have a unique personality to them which is cool, you can see a lot of work was put into the cast, even the minor characters. Allen surprised me in that he had to do so much shady shit for Cross, it's like who the fuck is this guy lol. Then he shows up and is completely badass. The Earl is annoying as fuck, but really well done. If he wasn't I don't think I'd find him so annoying. I really liked Road and Tyki. Skinn and the retarded twins were annoying. Lulubell didn't have a big enough part for me to get an opinion either way other than "she's in the way, shank that bitch." I loved Kanda because reading his lines was like listening to myself talk a lot of times. I didn't mind the fortune teller girl actually...I found Komui very annoying actually, at least early on. In the later part of the series he gets a lot better. Komurin was aggervating to me, it wasn't even funny for the first full episode they had to deal with it much less the repeats.

I was upset when they turned Lenalee into a fucking deadweight tear factory too. I liked her as the strong stable exorcist then she went all /crybaby...but they resolved that finally too, so it works out.

The funny repeating joke was definitely the Bookman being called panda.

I felt the art was a little weak at times but I'm not sure if that was my internet being gay or if they actually didn't animate them talking from time to time..

Allen and Lenalee's innocence are FTW now. Lavi an Kanda better be epic fucking pwn too now since they went and got theirs broken..

Did you notice that Lavi gets his ass kicked A LOT?

Crown Clown is so OP at times and other times its like "Why's he getting trashed like that, he was just raping face with that a minute ago."

ending was lackluster. i think they should've cut the last season short and ended it with the homecoming since it was getting cancelled rather than starting the next arc and having a meh-worthy ending.

i picked up the manga from the end of the anime and caught up to it. damn hiatus. all the good manga are on hiatus. berserk, nana, dgrayman...

haha exactly. i thought what he tried to do to allen was a cheap shot but after some thought i realized i'd have done it too.

then he's like lawl ur face all over Lavi and I'm like damn, he's full of win.
