Yep, it has. Sorry for the late reply. Been doing a lot of work..
Agree! Even the new episodes of Bee and Puppycat never fail to make me laugh and it's so nice to look at <3
Also, glad you liked it :)
You bet I am! Even if I don't have time for anime - I will always make room for the new Yuri Kuma Arashi episode :P Again with the style of it, the imagery and the humor - I'm enjoying this so much already. And I get the feeling it might have a mind blowing twist towards the end :P Which is your favorite character so far?
No way! See, that's what's so great about Mawaru Penguindrum and the like, no matter how much you watch it, you can always find some new interesting details :D I'm fangirling about this show way too much. Haha ;)
And I actually didn't watch Night on the Galactic Railroad at all yet. I only saw some parts of the movie in youtube videos. It's been on my plantowatch list for way too long. But that's gonna change now :p And then I'll look up that quote. I guess I missed it before :)
Haha glad you liked it! :)
I have to admit, I did not watch Utena till the end. There was no real reason as to why not. It's still on my On-Hold list (I think) or at least it is in my head ;) Probably because it has a lot of episodes and I just couldn't find the time and motivation to finish it ;-; I definitely will tough (not just saying that)! But I remember to have gotten pretty far but it was so long ago that I didn't see the similarities at all while watching Mawaru Penguindrum until you pointed them out. I totally agree though. They're like twins :D The creator of them also did Sailor Moon, which might have been the first anime I ever watched. (either that or Inuyasha/ Dragonball) Did you watch Sailor Moon as well?
Yeah, I was left really confused too. I remember trying to understand more of it by reading interpretations online and I stumbled upon this:
In the last episode the Penguin Drum is revealed to be the fruit of fate that Kanba and Shoma shared while in the box. They give up on their fate to give Himari a new life where both of them does not exist, their existence is erased and facts are slighty remade to fit this (like Ringo and Himari are still friends but meet in the metro). The two boys in episode 1 talking about the fruit of fate are also revealed to be Shoma and Kanba after the reset.
Yup, I thought the couples were cute especially Ringo and Shouma (AGREE!). I also felt Himari didn't really like him as much as Kanba did, but I was so thrilled by the rest of the anime, I didn't really mind much. I think it could really use an adaption to clear some questions and because it'd be nice to watch the penguins arrive in a new home and all :p But like most good animes we are only left with what we got ;-;
Do watch Kyoukai no Kanata! It's nothing like Mawaru Penguindrum (except for the pretty art), but it's lighthearted and has a nice twist to the usual stereotypes of anime :)
It was fine. Definitely not as good as Adventure Time or Bee and PuppyCat and there's only one character I do enjoy, but it's entertaining if you really have nothing else to do. By the way, did you hear the news on Bee and PuppyCat? They are making it into a series! <3 I was literally speechless for a few minutes when I first heard about it :p Now I'm just majorly excited! I think it airs sometime 2014.
Mawaru Penguindrum is truly genius. You'll love it (especially the ending). At first it seems all really confusing, but it'll make sense at the end. When I first watched it, I took screenshots of Himari's room. It's looks soo comfy (unlike my room ;-;)
Kyoukai no Kanata <3 is one of my favorite shows the season. I feel like it's a mixture of Kuragehime and maybe free! or Chūnibyō Demo Koi ga Shitai. I love the cute characters and how they all have a darker, more serious side to them (like in Mawaru Penguindrum) also the art and those jokes about glasses and younger sisters. It's a bit sterotype-ish sometimes, but in a new, refreshing way (does that even make sense? haha)
No worries, I'm quite the late replier myself :p
I know right? Wish they'd make it into a series ;-; Did you watch Bravest Warriors as well?
So true, but let's be honest, who doesn't love cats? That's like saying movies in general are bad right? (Not to mention penguins) ♥
Hey, you should really try Bee and PuppyCat. It's also from CartoonHangover like Adventure Time, but it's still really new. There is only one episode out yet ;-;
Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOG_UtLxh58
Enjoy :)
Heh, sorry I got a little excited about the show. Penguindrum might be my all time favorite :p At which episode are you?
Yeah, I guessed it would be Bubblegum :) I think my favorite character is either Lumpy Space Princess or Gunter. Marceline is my favorite when she's singing. That fries song was genius! Also, she's supposed to be the most popular character of the show. I just finished all the episodes, which leaves me a little depressed, but a new one aires every monday right? I can't wait!
Gosh, that's the only anime I ever watched twice! Those penguins are the cutest thing that ever happened to anime. I wish you could keep penguin as pets ♥
And I'm watching Adventure time right now -- I'm at season 4 :D How come everyone isn't watching this? It's so funny! Do you like Marceline or Princess Bumblegum better?
