Always funny seeing reviews on iyashikei shows complaining about no story. Like that’s the point. You don’t see people going into shounen shows and complaining that the characters fight. I get SOL isn’t for you but using what makes SOL an SOL as criticism is just amusing

Wow, I'm a bit surprised that your comment box is almost entirely complaints about your Aria review. I have a different POV - I gave it a 6, but for completely different reasons. :D Though a 6 for me does mean "mild fondness." I love this kind of show, but I guess this one was not so much to my taste. The characters weren't as appealing to me as the show clearly expected them to be, and that cultivated a sense of discord which disrupted the relaxation.

For iyashikei, I got more out of Non Non Biyori, but this is an extremely subjective measure - if you asked people "What helps you relax?" you'd expect a myriad of different answers. Gothic doom metal helps me relax.

For cute girls doing cute things in a work setting, I prefer Sore ga Seiyuu. I can personally relate to those girls' ups and downs, and their work in voice acting and their success in it are more meaningful to me than rowing gondolas for wealthy tourists. Again, completely personal and subjective. If I had to rate everything based on how good it is to everyone else, I wouldn't bother giving ratings at all.

Aria the Animation did get better toward the end, and I might give its twelfth episode alone a 9 or 10.

Aria focuses on the little things in life. The show is meant to be watched episodically, so 1 or 2 episodes a day. The OST is full on relaxing. I'm not sure the environment you watched this show, but I suggest watching this when stressed or if you just want to relax. Maybe even wear some headphones.

Of course you wouldn't like Aria. It's not anything that you were looking for and that review was simply stupid.

Why did you even try to watch Aria, if you are such a shounen fanatic? And you even wonder there are no villains. Duh, man.

If you think Aria has no story, just watch Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. The definition of the s-o-l genre.

Aria is a Slice of Life, that's why there's no story. Btw, you shouldn't rate animes you haven't completed...
