Hi everyone;)
I delayed writing sth about myself and I don’t really know why, but it’s not so important.
At first I didn’t think this site will be of any use to me, apart from monitoring ratings of anime and it’s popularity before watching.
Later I began to spent gradually more and more time here and enjoyed meeting new people, sharing same taste, recommending some titles, reading opinions about each episodes etc.
My adventure with anime and Japan began in elementary school. My sister infected me with it:P
Not only she was drawing anime, but also brought me some magazines about it. We were watching Sailor Moon together every day at our grandmothers place.
Till today I watch anime eagerly and plan to never ever stop watching:P
About me:
On the outside I’m a paragon of virtue, kind, responsible, caring girl that will help you with any problem, but on the inside I might be the laziest person of all I know:)
Honestly, I don’t like to offend anyone and talk behind peoples backs. I like independency, uniqueness and strong, self-confident people:)
I’m a German Philology student at the oldest University in Poland – the Jagiellonian University. I intend to become a translator in both German and English someday. During studying I began to do a second degree in International Culture, but I gave up, it turned out to be not what I imagined:/
For now I prepare myself to transfer to the University of Cologne for one semester, and I can’t wait to go there;)
My favorite anime genres are slice of life, magic, comedy, romance, shoujo, drama, fantasy, adventure and music.
I can’t accept animation like in Air or Clannad. There are some anime I see they disgust me immediately, especially when eyes or proportions of the characters don’t suit. It’s just like that. The most important to me is the plot. It must simply absorb me so that I watch one particular anime at a time, even till morning.
I don’t and won’t play games - lack of time, and don’t listen to J-music, but it might change if someone would recommend me sth really worth listening;)
I listen to Lenny Kravitz, Sting, Linkin Park, Whitney Houston, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Red Hot Chili Peppers and similar ones.
My favorite films are old westerns with John Wayne, Clint Estwood films, and all these where Will Smith plays:D, Pretty Woman, Alien all parts, Forrest Gump, Proof, Constant Gardener, all Ghibli anime…
I love good comedies;) But I’m not really keen on horrors or terrifying thrillers:(
I remember I watched japanese Godzilla in the past a lot and liked it;)

You read German, Austrian and Swiss classics? I have not read a single Hindi book. I only read those classics which are translated from Hindi to English, otherwise I would read those stories only in school (we have Hindi subject in school) :P

The country sounds pretty good in my opinion.
That's exactly the same here. But they don't just call it Cartoon, they call it "Tom & Jerry" because that's the only Cartoon they know. Pretty sad.
What's more, when people hear that I'm learning Japanese they start doing some Chinese Kung Fu & other Asian things that has absolutely nothing to do with Japan.

The academic year here is about 9 months but you have an option of studying two extra months in the summer to finish early. If someone takes all summer courses they could finish in less than 4 years!
So you know Polish, German & English, & good enough to translate. Impressive =D
Japanese is easy & fun to learn, especially if you're an anime fan. hope you could find the time to learn it!
Mine too! Once I reach Japan, I'll scream in the middle of the airport xD
