I've never heard of that. It's interesting. I actually collect religious books of non-abrahamic religions, and this is my first time coming across that. As for the goth and neofolk, good choices. I'm not into neofolk much, but I listened to your playlist and it's rather enjoyable.

Coming from a divorced family myself, I have to agree with you.
I'm just stating the general consensus of women under 30. The girls I know don't take children lightly. So, these are the things I hear from them in terms of dating someone that already has kids.
Your interests are fairly diverse. I know a few goth girls that like anime and Japanese culture. Do you really need someone that shares every single one of your interests though? I think the best most of us can do, is find someone that at least respects such hobbies.

Otaku Booty outwardly acts as a dating site, but it has forums for people to interact with each other. My friend told me that he goes to huge get togethers with people from there all the time. None of them really use it for dating, but if you wanted to it's obviously an option. It reminds me more of a myspace for nerds.
Kids at a younger age can be intimidating. There's lots of worries in giving the wrong impression. They could just hate you. There's too much potential damage for the kids, and that might be why people tend to steer clear. Older kids just seem more easy to talk to and manage. As you mentioned with leaving them alone.
