I like violent animes that question morals or teach morals.
My top anime is Death Note, but Shiki comes in at a close second place and Code Geass at a close 3rd..
I do not give animes high ratings very easily, at least on my list.
10= You get that whatever you call it kind of feeling when you watch it
9= Very entertaining, may include some elements that would have made it a 10, but didn't make it all the way.
8= Entertaining, sometimes good enough to be a 9, but lacks certain criteria such as music. May have had elements for a 10, but they didn't execute right.
7= Alright, these are the ones that are usually just better than the 6's.
6= Watchable, animes that might lack good art style, music, plot, and/or are too cliche.
5= Boring, simply put.
4= Crap, can't stand to watch. Usually too boring and bad art. Not enough plot or a nonsense plot.
Anything less than 4 = Worse than crap? I haven't had to give a 3 yet...
I usually try to finish what I start.

Normally I won't watch Sci-Fi/Thriller stuff as it's not my type.
You're going to love Gundam Seed (h)
It was one of the first I've ever watched and the storyline is probably the best of action animes.

Wooo I'm a ditz I didn't even know Stein's Gate took place after Chaos Head. Chaos Head's in my least favorite of all time list XDDDDDD
Stein's Gate annoyed me at times but I still liked it ;p
