I couldn't give a 0 to the story and characters, but these outweigh all by far so that's why it still gets a 1. Just look at Guilty Crown who has great art, I gave that a 1 too since it doesn't have any merit besides that either. As for the sound, all I remember besides the generic gore sounds is the opening song which was probably the only ost in all the anime, and even though it's not a bad song, when it makes you remember something bad... Yeah.
