Hey, I'm Michael Scotson from Brisbane, Australia.
Currently Doing a Duel degree at the university of QLD: Bachelor of Science/Arts Majoring in Geology and Double Majoring in Japanese.
So, I first got into anime after watching Kashimashi a few months ago, which was a bit of a culture shock, OMFG this is the shit!!!one!elevlen!!?
I wasn't expecting that reaction as beforehand I had thought of anime as stupid, dragon ball Z / Yu-Gi-Ho / Pokemon style stuff. Though I was a fan of pokemon when it [first came out, and I was like 10. Judging by how I reacted with kashimashi, something like Air or Kanon probably would've finished me of right there if I saw them first. I got right into the whole anime thing too and helped fansub for a while (as a timer), I'm studying japanese now so I can translate in the future :D
I'm not just into anime though, I also enjoy Astronomy, Scientiffic Skepticism and just Science in general.

What're your thoughts on 'Allison & Lillia'? I'm thinking of picking it up. People say it's like 'Last Exile', which I liked. I would read the review & check out the page (and have done so), but nearly every show has at least one review saying that it's 'Greatest show ever!' and giving it straight 9's & 10's.
So a friend's opinion matters. Please give.
