I might watch Highschool DxD later down the road. Right now between school, work, and the anime I'm currently watching.... I'm swamped.

Well there are a couple of good shows this season, but nothing that really stands out for me to recommend. Blood Lad is pretty funny, Danganronpa if you like anime with mystery and crime solving. There's also the Monogatari Series: Second Season if you have watched any of the monogatari anime before, like Bakemonogatari.
I just recently started watching Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star). I find myself laughing a lot at the 80s animation and how overkill the death scenes are.
If you haven't started watching it already, I recommend Shingeki no Kyojin. I'm a fan of the manga and they are staying very true to the story line and are doing a good job with it.
Not sure what else to recommend, if anything jumps out at me in the near future I'll let you know.

Are you reading anything new? i have i got this new series called Bow Wow Wata and i just finish reading it when i found out the author only release 1 and 2 in the western continent.... man why did they leave a cliff hanger if they wont release anymore. They are so mean... anyways have a good summer:)

I made it to episode 550 in less than 4 weeks. Then I took a break to watch all the other anime that had built up over that time period. lol

I decided to pick up One Piece a month ago. Some recent things I'm enjoying are Gintama': Enchousen and the second season of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. Haven't started watching all the anime this season that I want to watch.

Finally finished Gurren Lagann. It took awhile because I stopped watching midway through. But those last 10 or so episodes... were simply amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anything more over the top, ever.
