There was Fate/Strange Fake but I dont know if it is a complete story or not
After the end of the third Grail War, an organization from the United States that has magi separate from the London based Mage Association as members took data from Fuyuki's Grail War and planned their own ritual. After seventy years, they used the city Snowfield, California, north of Las Vegas, which is surrounded by a forest, swamp, valley, and a desert in the respective cardinal directions to act as the Sacred Land for their own Grail War. They were unable to successfully copy every aspect of the ritual, which lead to it acting only as an imitation that has lost the Saber class and allowed for the summoning of strange Servants due to the definition of a "hero" being blurred.
The Mage's Association has sent Langel and his pupil, Fardius, to investigate the city and the status of the war. Fardius, a spy from the US organization, has Langel sniped upon arrival, despite knowing that Langel was simply a puppet. He announces that their Holy Grail War has been in development and that it is real, which causes an uproar at the Clock Tower, and wishes to "advertise" the project to the Association.
Archer is once again Gilgamesh, though this is a new copy produced from the Throne of Heroes. Though without memories of the Fourth and Fifth Grail Wars and unpolluted by the Grail, he still displays his generally haughty attitude. He is summoned by a magus wishing to restore his family's honor, but he is killed by another magus right as the summoning is complete. Gilgamesh is initially not interested in participating, but he decides to stay after learning that his best friend,Enkidu, was also summoned. He becomes the Servant of the girl who killed his original Master, Teene Cherke. She is the head of a Native American clan wishing to create a prosperous free nation for her people by recovering the land taken from them by the Americans.
The movie is even worse than the tv series(story wise, since they went from fight to fight) so yeah play the VN.

Archer was a mix of UBW and Fate route.Saber had so much develpoment n fate and UBW that the only role she could have now, without becoming more irritating, was the "bad guy".Gil role except seeing how he is ready to help Kirei(like in zero) for his own amusement was losing to the Shadow/Dark Sakura to show us how dangerous it/she is lol.
The Shadow and Sakura's element in magic is very strong against astral bodies (aka a Servant's worst enemy).Although very strong against spirits it's weak against Human's since they arent something she can absorb.Sure she could eat them like in the interludes but that would take time.
Rin contradicts herself because,while she wants to save Sakura she also wants to stop Angra Mainyu and put an end to the killings as a supervisor of Fuyuki city.(or maybe she actually cares about complete strangers)
Exactly because he is the strongest Servant.Gilgamesh cannot be controlled.

Q: In Sakura’s Route, what happened to the devoured Gilgamesh? Sabre was blackened and enslaved, but was Gilgamesh’s will too strong to be dominated? Or was he completely digested?
A: He simply cannot be controlled. In fact Gilgamesh cannot be blackened. After being devoured by the Grail, Sakura converted Gilgamesh into mana in haste because she was afraid that Gilgamesh might tear her up from the inside if she does not digest him. However, His Majesty was very hard to digest, so “Angra Mainyu” must have been plagued by belly-ache (laughs).
Also:
Servants are normally corrupted and blackened upon contact with the incarnation of All the World's Evil from the Holy Grail, but Gilgamesh is unable to be controlled or blackened due to his powerful ego that can stave back the mental pollution. He claims that someone would need at least three times that amount to even think about affecting him. The only change is that the saturation converts his spiritual body to one of flesh and blood. During Heaven's Feel after being devoured by Sakura, she quickly converted him to mana in haste because she was afraid he might tear her up from the inside if she does not digest him. It also has to do with the power behind the curse, as the "mud" cut off from the main body that he manged to "beautifully escape" and the "shadow" connected to the thing itself are of different quality.

How did they ignore many chars?The important ones were Kirei,Ilya,Shirou,Rin,Sakura,Rider and Zouken.All of them had way more development than the other 3 routes.
Even Gil that gets killed easily in HF had more development there than the other routes since it matches his partnership with Kirei (as shown in Zero)more than than the other routes.
Also what do you meant by "the idea could be used better especially "controlling servant's by the shadow" ."

Ah it was nothing glad to help.
Well it's gonna take some time but it's worth the wait.In FSN VN the first 2 routes makes you think that only Lancer and Archer are the only GAR and badass chars but in HF Shirou proves everyone wrong.
And he doesnt scream SABER in every fucking screen.
