I am a certain type of a hikikomori. I don't go out of my house if it's not to buy some food (which I usually make other people do for me). I may seem social to you, but deep inside I'm actually afraid of any person talking to me XP. I'm very stable and lovely on the outside but that's not true at all, therefore, I'm afraid you can tag me as yandere lol.

What is my list?
Well, first of all, my list is there for me to track the quantity and types of anime I finish per month, year and so on. I want to understand my pattern of anime-watching and be able to see with my own eyes how my list grows. Of course, having a long list of all the things I watched will not be as interesting.

How do I determinate the favorite anime on my profile? (doesn't apply to manga)
I decided to choose my favorite anime series from each season. I choose them by my rate of enjoyment and quality of storytelling as well as storyline and characters. Sometimes I also pay attention to the animation, dialog and OST (if it has special elements to it). For me, it's very important for a series, even if it's 12 episodes, to take its time and tell the story it's trying to convey. There is nothing more I hate than series that have their climax one episode prior to the last one (happens a lot with 26 eps shounen anime nowadays).

I have my most favorite things I will never be able to replace in my heart, but since I believe putting the airing titles that I like so far in my favorites would be a lot more effective for others (who have the same style as I do and want to watch something new) and above all, will give me a good overview of seasons.



Now, as for the reason why I choose not to rate anything on my list... hmm... I guess it's because there is no reason for me to rate things.

You see, I believe that everyone has their own preferences and one can hardly rate subjectively. If I don't like ecchi for example, I will probably give it a lower score due to the fact I simply dislike the genre... but I guess other people might even think it's really good.

K-on is a good example for this one.

I extremely dislike moe characters, and K-on is filled with them. In reality however, this anime is considered to be pretty good, but I'm afraid I never enjoyed it really.

Many people base their scores upon enjoyment whatsoever (which is ok), but I believe it's more than that. When a person wants to give a score, they have to consider all the elements, and even then, they will probably judge every element subjectively xP.
