Ah sorry just noticed mine isnt actually a SLR type. Mine is an Olympus SP-Ultra Zoom (high tier normal camera). it was one of the first in the series so the newer ones have the image stabilizers >:( got me hell annoyed... Well a good digital camera can be enough too, just make sure it has a good optical zoom range e.g. over x10. not digital zoom (that doesnt actually make for a sharper picture)
But yea it kinda beats the point if you have to stand as still as a statue just to take a picture. you can then imagine the difficulty of getting a non-blurred action shot >_>

Sounds interesting. Does that imply you are looking at the transcription phase?
I don't do as much these days. I ended up getting a bad digital SLR which didn't have image stabilisation option. Also I couldn't afford lens to do some macro shots (close up) so its all on halt really. Good gear is primordial. And then its the 'always have it with you' philosophy since you don't know where the next shot will be. But its kinda hard to be adventurous when you have to haul gear around with you >_>
