so now im in a dilema with some of my ratings cos i rate on how i see them and how much i enjoyed them and thinking back ova some and then look at others its like damn

ok fair nuf i do look inot depth of the charecters but the story for me has to go with it in order to get a 10 and as i said the other day to u i was thinking of lowering school rumble on the basis that the charecters aint got much depth and as for the repetativeness of it yeah it is a bit stupid on the whole
as for kanon the arcs r down to personal preferance and things and u saying what u did has made me look at it a differant way and it has made me think bout changing it because of the depth maybee i just missed it all with it but when i look back on it i do agree with u that each member had a deep and meaningfull past and it was brought perfectlly to the anime it goes the same with nana the story was amazing no denying that at all the depth was good i just need to sometimes overlook certain things if it has more defining points it has made me look at it in different ways
toradora as u say u have a guilty pleasre wll this is my one i know i shudnt like it as much as i shud but cant help it
host club well as u say that one is very veiwer based and if u like or not as say kyle didnt like it much i thought it was ok but u love it so cant complain it just one of them things
also i know u changed a lot because of magic girl it was a great anime and u told me bout ur dilema with it all and u was struggling with what to do with it but u managed to sort it out now which is good

I did switch my ratings quite a bit to get around my problem with rating MG:M. Simply put: I don't feel that MG:M deserves to be a point higher than any of my current 10s. I couldn't find a flaw with MG:M, but that doesn't mean I enjoyed the series more than the others. Yes there were minor flaws with my other 10s, but the good parts were good enough to overlook them. Better than MG:M in fact.
Kanon 2006: I personally felt that the fox arc was the weakest one. I preferred the one about the samurai girl. The ending was a little lame, but the ending is just one episode, so I figure it'd be cruel of me to deny it a 10 just for that. As a whole, I felt each arc had a heap of depth, much more than the likes of Toradora for example; which was essentially 26 episodes of a girl punching a guy in the face, wrapping up in a cliché "i hate you but secretly I love you" type of ending.
Nana: Im sure Kyle would agree with me here, but a 10 is pretty justified. I guess it drags out here and there, but I wouldn't say 20 episodes worth did. It's a story about 2 close friends that drift apart, each making their own mistakes in life. The characters are a very strong parts of the series, which you either appreciate or you don't. Tbh, Kanon 2006 was also very character-based, which confirms that you don't really look for any depth in anime cast. Perhaps that eplains why you rated School Rumble a 10. o.x''
Ouran High School Host Club: I guess this one's an acquired taste. Kyle didn't like it much either, but in my defence, it's rated much higher than School Rumble, so there definitely is a market for it, and I guess I'm just part of that market. It's repetitive of course, but that's because it's a parody anime. It's not supposed to have a plot, or change much as it goes along. Just look at School Rumble: 52 episodes of some leather-wearing punk trying to confess to a girl. Repetitive, no?
I'd hardly say that my ratings are that strange. Nana, OHSHC and Kanon 2006 are all well respected anime that a heap of people worship. If you don't get them, then fair enough. I can't see why anyone would rate Toradora or Clannad:AS higher than an 8, but you've gone ahead and done it. School Rumble hardly deserves a 10 either. It's funny in places, but it's hardly a masterpiece. A lot of the comedy was pretty "meh", and it had no storyline whatsoever. I almost find it offensive that you've seen some of the best anime ever made, and that's one of your three 10s. >.<''
